  This achievement is pretty self explanatory, you must shoot him in the heart and you can't use Vigors to help you. The first time you encounter a Handyman is in the Plaza of Zeal, just after you leave the Gunsmith's shop.
  
  However there is an old glitch from the 360 version that made it's way into Xbox One version. As you exit the shop, turn right and the Handyman will spawn in. If you look above there's a Skyhook you can attach to. Jump to that and then jump to the roof on your left. The Handyman will jump up to you, quickly jump back over to the Skyhook and dismount and if done properly the Handyman will be stuck up on the roof. You now have a clear shot at his heart.
  
  It can take multiple tries to get him stuck up there but keep at it. I've included a video I found on YouTube that shows you where to also get a Sniper Rifle if you want to be 100% sure that you're hitting his heart, but I did it with the Hand Cannon without any problems.

  Just another way of getting it, I had tried one of the above solutions of jumping on and off the roof with no luck, I then tried other ways of getting the Handyman stuck so I could have a free shot. After leaving the Gunsmiths and the Handyman spawns I went back into the gunsmiths and waited, he would come to the doorway and get stuck (I'd stay standing behind the counter). He just stands still in the doorway with a clear shot of his heart, occasionally raising his hands over his heart but doesn't jump or try to attack. With a Sniper Rifle in hand I shot him around 5 times and that was it.
  I reloaded the checkpoint 5 times to try the same method and it worked every time.

  +1 absolutely excellent solution, worked first try and only took a minute or two from the Plaza of Zeal checkpoint. So much easier than the other solutions! For gun reference, I used the Carbine I had on me at the time of that checkpoint and it took 20 shots to the heart on easy. He just stood still in the doorway and took it.

  Spot on solution, took a couple of try’s as at least twice he made it into the room and pummelled the shit out of me, but on the third try, this worked like a charm. Thumbs up

  I know this is a little late compared to the release of the game(s), I only just got around to it and found a rather unusual way of getting this - I was using a Crank Gun (the ones that the Patriots carry) on a Handyman and when it had to reload I switched to my sniper rifle, hit it once in the chest and this popped.
  
  I believe that the game doesn't treat the Crank as a standard weapon, so you shooting it anywhere with one doesn't count as you "shooting it", but this will need confirmation.

  Can confirm this does work. I just did the same thing, except used Hand Cannon for final shot. Worked first try.

  I can also confirm this works. Sprayed the handyman with crank gun, then finished him with a sniper shot to the heart.

  Why the downvote? I used this method earlier. Seems the crank gun sorta busts the achievement. I didn't have full ammo for crank, and took 3/4 hand cannon shots to finish him. I'm pretty sure not every shot was a heart shot, but killing shot was. Achievement popped. May just have got lucky. Either way, it's a good method....and it works.
