After the Chapter finishes loading, you will have control over your cursor again. The scenes will automatically change and will stop on a scene where John is sitting on a bed next to a sick woman (his Mother). During this scene his Mom will ask what time it is. It'll be reading time, so interact with any of the following three books on the table:
Treasure Island
Domestic Nuclear Shelters - Technical Guidance
The Bible
The book you choose really doesn't matter, but for Bookworm, the Bible would be the best choice to pick. When his mother passes away the achievement will unlock. However, there is a missable achievement for reading all the books (see Bookworm).
