How to unlock the Overclocked achievement

I recommend pursuing this achievement in combination with the "Speedrunner" and "Low %" achievements as they can all easily be attained on the same playthrough. When playing in Speedrun mode, the timer is always running, even when in the menus. However, you can quit the game/shut off your console and pick back up where you left. Thus, this does not have to be done in one sitting. Also, Speedrun mode removes all dialogue, which is why it's ideal for going after this achievement.

Completing the game in under four hours is not that difficult, especially once you've played through at least once and are familiar with the game. I recommend watching speedruns on Youtube. While the players in those speedruns will pull off some moves using the Drone Teleport that we average mortals can't do ourselves, their methods for speedrunning the first half of the game are easily emulated. And, given that most of them clear the game in Any % speedruns in well under an hour, you have a lot of buffer room to work with. In fact, I recommend taking your time to clear out nuisance enemies as it's better to spend time killing them than to die and be forced back to your last save point.

You should be able to reach Ukkin-Na in under an hour without any deaths. If you do, you are well on track to beat the game in under four hours, even with some deaths (especially as the next few areas have significantly more difficult enemies). You may need to do a few test runs up through getting Address Disruptor 2 before you get the hang of where you need to go and how to get there efficiently. Do not concern yourself with collecting any weapons besides the mandatory ones. Also, ignore all notes and node fragments. All other nodes are worth pursuing, so long as they are not too far out of the way. Ignore retrieving the Grapple upgrade, but you can pick up the extended Drone Launch upgrade on your return trip to Kur when en route to E-Kur-Mah, if you wish. The only non-mandatory weapon I recommend is the Flamethrower, which will require the Passcode Tool near the end of the game. You can pick up both and only lose about 10 minutes of time. Having the Flamethrower will make some of the end game enemies and bosses easier to deal with. By ignoring all unnecessary upgrades and focusing only one Nodes (not fragments), you can easily beat the game with under 40% of items collected.

Really, the biggest challenge to beating the game in under four hours is avoiding time-wasting deaths. On my run, I was constantly dying in Edin, yet I still beat the game with 45 minutes to spare. Good luck!

segagamerFor clarification, and since the Flamethrower pickup is not included in MattiasAnderson's video, follow the video up to the 1:00:38 mark and save your game in that spot, then travel to the bottom right corner of Zi first to pick up the Passcode Tool, quit to menu and return to respawn at that save point with the Passcode Tool this time and THEN travel to where the Flamethrower is. You'll need the passcode DINGER-GISBAR while in the room.

Excellent video from MattiasAnderson btw, I reached that save point at 1:22:10 my time (so only 22 mins over), and that was with me getting the grapple as well, since I didn't feel confident to go all the way up to the Level 2 Corruptor Gun without saving, and quitting to dashboard on any death or if I made some long mistakes along the way, and beat the game in 1:39:36. By far one of the easiest speedrun achievements I've done thus far, so you should definitely have enough time to get the passcode tool and flamethrower.
