A diamond record requires you to score at least 400,000 points in a song. Don't start this game if you think it'll be a cake walk like previous singing games. You WILL have to sing or hum to the best of your ability. Speakers can not do it for you unless you have a vocals only video.

1.) In order to do this, you will need to get to level 10 so you can start a song off with a x5 multiplier. There is no way to get over 400,000 without having the max multiplier. To quickly get to level 10, make sure you are doing every available mission, and trying to score the highest scores you can when you can. Obviously not all missions give a lot of xp, but honestly, you'll need 100 and you will likely max out before your 50 missions achievement.

2.) Once you have level 10, pick songs that you tend to do your best on. Everyone has different preferences. I have noticed I am capable of getting 400,000 on some of the toughest songs because I know the song so well and know the pitch changes. Below is a list of songs I recommend, starting off with what I believe is the easiest to hardest order.

King by Years & Years
Roses by The Chainsmokers
Pillow Talk by Zayn
One Call Away by Charlie Puth
Marvin Gaye by Charlie Puth ft. Meghan Trainor
Lush Life by Zara Larsson
Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Goulding
How Deep Is Your Love by Calvin Harris & Disciples
Waiting For Love by Avicii
Stressed Out by Twenty One Pilots

Other songs that I would recommend that I have diamond on, but may not be easy include:

Adventure Of A Lifetime by ColdPlay
Come And Get It by John Newman
Don't Be So Hard On Yourself by Jess Glynne
See You Again by Wiz Khalifa ft. Charlie Puth
Sexy And I Know It by LMFAO
Shut Up And Dance by Walk The Moon
Watch Me by Silento

3.) In order to get 400,000 on a song, you need to maintain a x5 for a good portion of the song. You can drop your x5 maybe 3-4 times depending on how well you are scoring with Perfect and Great comments. I highly recommend being able to have the highest combo you can going into a gold note. Gold notes will help boost your score. Some songs with long gold phrases give upwards to 20,000 points if you have a x5 and you are able to hit the entire phrase perfectly. Try to maintain your x5 starting multiplier and aim for a least 75,000-100,000 points per combo drop.

4.) Everyone thinks there is a trick, or easy method. The only trick this game has is playing in duet mode with a Vox Singer (computer singer). In duet mode, it will split singing up between you and the computer, giving you breaks to breathe and set up your pitch for the upcoming notes. You score significantly more points in duet mode to compensate for the lack of notes, and some songs have unique phrases that you can only sing in duet mode. Also, you can't drop more than 2-3 combos as it's harder to build combos and score.

5.) Pro tip: Hum the pitches. No need to sing. Learn how to change octaves mid singing to help hit high or low notes. Also, most beneficial to me is keeping your controller close with a finger on pause. Hum till you are low on breath, pause and take a healthy breather, start up the pitch you paused in, and then un-pause the song.

Good Luck. Let's Sing/ Now That's What I Call Sing are by far my favorite vocal games. These games aren't the easiest gamerscore games, but are not overall difficult if you are willing to practice a little and give effort.
