This achievement is story-related and cannot be missed.

This will unlock pretty much at the end of the game, when you go back to fight Ivy in the botanic gardens. The best strategy for the fight is actually a pretty simple one: jump from left to right and mash cn_LT like crazy to throw batarangs. Be careful not to step in any of the roots/grass that's growing underneath you because that will deplete your energy like crazy. You will hit a checkpoint after the first half of the fight.
For the second half I recommend doing the same. Don't focus on the goons, keep evading and jumping and throw batarangs.

    Hope this helps!

Scrib DeathWhile attempting to beat Ivy on Hard difficulty, I had to adjust the above strategy somewhat. It really helps if you pay close attention to the pattern of the brown spikes (dirt spraying up?) and the roots that follow, during the first half of the fight before she spawns the guards. If you watch closely the spot the vine hits will indicate where the roots will spread, if you pay attention to the pattern. In any case, be ready to dive out of the way if they start popping up under you, and do your best NOT to dodge right into the other patch. Avoid these long enough and the pod holding Ivy will move higher, and the flowers flanking her will shoot red energy balls at Batman, you know, because it's a plant. At this point you may discover that jumping wildly and mashing the left trigger will get you hit far too many times to survive on Hard. My strategy was to hold the A button and run left to right but in a serpentine manner. I watched Batman to make sure he turned around before hitting the edges, and when I spotted Ivy's pod opening, I hit the left trigger to fire a batarang and immediately hit A twice to evade the incoming bullets. Using this method, the flowers missed me almost every time.

After three cycles of this, the game prompts you to explode some gel on Ivy's pod, then Ivy gets a new health bar (and you get a checkpoint) for the second half. The first phase has the roots popping up under you but also the plant will spit out guards for you to fight. There is no need to throw the batarang during this phase, but you can't really ignore the guards as the above post suggested. As long as they are active, the second phase won't begin. They will take a small amount of damage if they are caught in the patches of roots, but I also fought them while dodging the roots (this is why I suggested familiarizing yourself with the root eruption patterns during the easier first half of the fight). Here's a tip that helped me a lot: run up to the guards as they are dropped on the platform and start attacking them, and half the time they will be knocked over the edge and out of the fight. Any time I saw a guard next to the edge I tried to kick him over. Defeat the guards and the second phase will begin, and it's the same as before, with the shooting flowers and Ivy opening her pod to laugh at you and get a batarang to the face. Three cycles of roots/flowers and you can put some more gel on Ivy's pod and win the fight.

I hope this method will help anyone still struggling with this boss fight!
