    You increase your skill level in an instrument by playing songs and gaining XP, with more XP being gained for getting gold stars in a song (doing extremely well on Expert difficulty). If your skill level on an instrument is already above 700, play a few songs with that instrument and the achievement should pop.

    Calex dEUSSo it's entirely possible that if you played a lot over all 4 instruments that it could be unobtainable ?

    Zacry072Someone on the other solution stated that they were able to pop it after playing a few songs with their skill already above 900. I know I played some songs on guitar before switching to drums, so maybe you have to play a few. This still begs the question of whether or not you could pop this once your skill level was at 1000, which is perceivably the max skill level.

    EvilTrovisI only play pro drums, and my skill was at 999 upon launching RB4 for the first time after the Rivals update/expansion, and I got both the 700 and 900 skill achievements after playing one song.

    skittlebizFYI you can check this value via pressing Start and selecting My Stats. Also, although finishing songs under Campaigns->Missions reveals XP scored in the status once the song is finished, it does not increase your value under My Stats. I then went to Campaigns->GoOnTour and played three songs with probably a total of over 400 XP scores, and in My Stats, my score only went up by 98 (598 from 500). So I'm not sure how the XP actually translates into My Stats. But as far as I can tell, don't bother with Missions for this achievement, because my score moved up nothing after four songs in Missions. (I was playing Bass->Medium for all of these attempts.)

    skittlebizOk, same guy here. I just wrote down the XP scores from Campaigns->GoOnTour after playing it again. I played three songs on Bass->Medium. Scores were 148, 192, & 148. I then ended everything and went to main menu and checked My Stats, and I went from 498 to 499. WTF?
