This boss is found in the first Chapter CryptHeim at Depth Level 6.

Depth level 2 and 4 will feature sub-bosses.

For Duke Spookhem you will want to dodge his 2 ball attacks and jump over the shockwaves. After about 5 slams his wrecking balls will stick in the ground and you can attack them. My personal advice is to weaken both of them before destroying one. When one has been destroyed he can only slam the other one but 3 shockwaves will come out; I personally found this harder to dodge, hence why I recommend weakening his balls first before destroying them. The bats will keep spawning in, I tended to get rid of all but one because there's not much point killing all of them for it just to respawn.

After you have broke both of his balls. A switch will appear with an arrow; this catapults you up to a ledge where you can hit the Boss. EDIT:SilentExiledOne brought this to my attention in the comments, that in MP games the switch will not appear and you will have to pick up your Bro/Bros and throw them onto the pedestal. Be careful however, on the platform you will see a Red and purple sign on the ground that signifies a Blue Magic cloud will appear and start draining your life. Around the same time the boss will start dropping concrete blocks from the ceiling. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THE FALLING BLOCKS; as far as I can tell, them landing on you is an insta-kill and will take away a life.

Once his falling blocks and magic attack ends, you can run onto the switch, get flung up to the platform and start wailing on him again before repeating the cycle until he is dead.

I personally found the blue magic cloud to not be too damaging, so you can sit in it a short while to make sure a concrete block doesn't land on your head. A few times I jumped straight off the platform only to get crushed by a falling block, insta-killing me. So don't be afraid to take a few seconds.

Weapons Wise I used the starting sword, I even did it solo so for now I can't speak about any difficulty or tactics changing with more players. I would highly recommend attempting to get Lifesteal abilities, because the boss will attempt to spawn a lot of skeletons and lying creatures that will bunch up. One heavy spin attack in the middle of these and I was back at near full health. I do believe one of the starting pedestals on Depth 1 will actually give you Lifesteal at the cost of 500 points per level. This can be quite a good trade if you aren't too bothered for score just because they give you an ability that heals you as you do damage.
