Chapter 4: The Clockwork Mansion, is the first time you will come across Clockwork Soldiers. (They're the tall robots with 4 swords for arms)

To get their numbered plates you need to destroy them, and to destroy them you need to hit them in each of their glowing points found on their limbs and head.
Once you've destroyed it you should be able to pick the plate up from the ground.

Edit* According to Blargby you can kill the Clockwork Soldiers instantly with a stun mine and still get their numbered plates. Thanks!

Do this 3 times and the achievement is yours!

HybredXeroStun mines work, but you need three charges on a mine to kill one. when they fall the plate may not actually have dropped but you can see the outline. I had to whack the junk pile a couple times to knock it loose.

AllgorhythmYou can kill the Tallboys with two regular stun mines. Placement matters, though, so you might need a third. One upgraded stun mine can destroy a Tallboy.

There's a chance a stun mine, especially an upgraded stun mine, will destroy the data plate. This is random. So a quick save before destroying a Tallboy is good insurance. You can reload it until the RNG works in your favor. Always check the debris. Often, the data plate is not destroyed merely hidden in the wreckage.

You get this Achievement easiest at Mission 4: The Clockwork Mansion, where you first encounter Clockwork Soldiers. To get there numbered plates you need to jump two times on their head to disable them. If you just kill them any other way, the numbered plates will be destroyed.

I teleported on the chandeliers and then jumped or teleported on their heads.

BlargbyI took out all of the clockworks with rewire tools and stun mines and I got all their plates. They're still there, you just have to sift through the wreckage, and maybe whack them with your sword a few times until they move to a place where you can pick them up.

AllgorhythmI collected the numbered plates using stun mines. Sometimes they are destroyed, sometimes not. If you make a save before using a stun mine and you do not get the plate, you can revert to the save and try again. Good video--thumbs up.

This can be done in mission 4, "Clockwork Mansion". This requires you to acquire three plaques from the clockwork soldiers. To obtain a plaque, you must kill a clockwork soldier, which will then drop a plaque. The easiest way to kill them is with your pistol; however, just your sword can be enough.
