How to unlock the The End achievement

When you launch the game for the first time, "Story Mode" will be the only play option available.

Game difficulty is not a prerequisite for unlocking this achievement, so you can either choose to play on "Easy" or "Normal".

Complete "Story Mode" to unlock the achievement. Completing Story Mode is a prerequisite to unlock Oniric Battles and work on the related achievements, so the "The End" achievement will probably be one of the first you'll unlock.

Story Mode's completion time is between 90 and 120 minutes.

If you get used to he combo and directional hits mechanics, the only slightly challenging battle will be the last boss one.

Once you arrive in the last cave, you will be facing
    *** Spoiler - click to reveal ***

The fight is splitted in 4 phases. You can find a video of the battle at the end of this solution.

    Phase 1 & Phase 2.
    a) Static tentacles are spawning at the beginning of each Phase, alongside with a variety of enemies.

    b) Focus on destroying the tentacles. I recommend building up your combo using the
cn_X cn_X cn_X ( Power Slash ) on the tentacles. The tentacles do not attack you and they do not respawn once destroyed. You will build your combo power very quickly, focus on damaging the tentacles and call your companions / use magic to take care of the enemies.

    c) Once tentacles are destroyed, boulders will start falling from the ceiling. Simply avoid boulders by watching the shadows on the floor: being hit by a boulder will damage you.

    d) The last boulder will stun the boss. Once he has been stunned, you can damage him. I used to hit the boss with the cn_Y cn_Y cn_Y ( Heavy Strike ) Combo, but it's really up to you and doesn't make any real difference, since the boss will recover from the stun after 3 damaging hits from your weapon. After landing the damaging hits, QUICKLY roll away with cn_A as the boss opens his eyes: boss attacks are fast and can damage you in no time.
Note: you can use magic or call companions to damage the boss, if you like so, but it's basically a waste of time (or magic power), since the amount of damage done to the stunned boss is always the same, no matter what source you are using.

    Phase 3
    a) Static tentacles are spawning at the beginning of this Phase, alongside with a LOT of enemies.

    b) Focus on destroying the tentacles. I recommend building up your combo using the
cn_X cn_X cn_X ( Power Slash ) on the tentacles. The tentacles do not attack you and they do not respawn once destroyed. You will build your combo power very quickly, focus on damaging the tentacles and call your companions / use magic to take care of the enemies.

    c) Once tentacles are destroyed, Phase 4 will start (without the boulders / stun sequence).

    Phase 4
    a) During this fase, the boss will try to capture the Blue Crystal by pulling towards him with a tentacle

    b) Keep damaging the pulling tentacle until you can use the cn_X to release the crystal's power.
Edit. Saving some magic power to damage the last tentacle makes thing a lot more easier: position yourself between the boss and the crystal and spam magic to damage the pulling tentacle.

    A couple more tips
    - If you die, you will start the last battle from the beginning, so pay attention and avoid being overwhelmed by enemies, especially during Phase 3 and 4.

    - Try to stay away from the boss as much as you can, since his attacks can hit you very rapidly and cause you to lose a discrete amount of health in a relatively short time.

RavnakQuite strange. Did you have time to check if the achiev was stuck in "done, unlocking" between the two boss fights?

GRAND NOBLEIt wasn't stuck. There's a chance it was just delayed and if I waited it may have popped anyways. But it definitely wasn't 'done... unlocking...'

Ssj Seanhere in 2023 i've beaten it twice on casual and still no pop :/
edit 3rd time (2nd attempt continuing 2nd time I booted the game) I took my time instead of spamming through the post fight dialog and it finally popped after the 3rd dialog box.
