How to unlock the Level 4 Completed on Easy achievement

    A lot of people have problems with the jumps in the game and in particular with this level.
    So i found something i wanted to share, that helped me alot with this level.

    The platforms the keys are on, all have the same layout.
    I made a sketch that shows it: http://imgur.com/a/nGcL3
    What helped me was:

    1. I always jumped from the "O"positions, never from the "X" ones.
    2. Picked up the key,
    3, Looked down and ran straight to the next circled area ahead
    4. Jumped at the point of the "triangle".

    As soon as i started doing it this way, i never failed a jump.
    Hope that helps a few people out there !

    acedawg4I think the latest patch correct the uneven steps and is now just a flat surfer making it SOO EASY now! Thank you devs!!

    UneaseEntree7Can confirm the 2017 patch changed the platform shape to flat and square instead of hexagonal. The jumps can now be done by simply running jumps on and off.

    The next level, Level 5, however, still requires stationary jumping then pressing "A" to clear the lava because those octagonal sloped lava platforms with stairs are buggy.

    This game is glitchy as hell, 4 easy glitched on me twice, and other levels and difficulties did as well, i had to do a full playthrough about 7 times instead of 3, worst $2 i ever spent on gaming...

    The only help i can give for this whole game is that the platforms on the third level are 10 times harder than the platforms in the other levels mostly because they're gradually raised which means when you go to jump off the platform back to the normal floor you have a chance of kinda run glitching and your jump doesn't count and you end up running into the lava so my only solution is to VERY slowly walk down the pointed edge of the platform until your near the end and then jump. Also running before jumping doesn't do anything so avoid running as it can make you fall into the lava.

    I just got this after a lot of trial and error trying to figure out exactly how the game wanted me to jump to avoid the lava. I tried inching down to the edge and jumping, getting a good running start and jumping, boosting my dexterity to the max and jumping, looking up and down and jumping, but nothing seemed 100% successful.
    What you need to try is to forget everything you know about 1st person platformers, and JUMP before you move. The platforms on Level 4 have "steps" down to the lava, and the game gets confused when you're trying to jump and also falling down a step at the same time. So, against all laws of physics, get near the edge, JUMP, then press forward immediately. It's all about timing and not trying to run and jump, but jump and run. Give it a try and you'll see what I mean. Before attempting, you might want to practice a bit, jumping then pressing forward to acclimatize yourself to this completely counter-intuitive method of jumping. :P Once I figured it out, I never missed a jump for the rest of the game.

    Another tip - while going through level 4, you might want to focus on getting all the keys before bothering with monsters and chests - if you spend 10 minutes going around looting and getting monsters, then fail your first jump, you'll huck the controller at the wall. Or go hoarse cursing.

    russolini77Don't thank them. While they did fix the nearly impossible jump location (just replaced the key platform with one from a different level) they also changed the goblin enemy AI so that it's almost impossible to kill. Frankly, the game is a lot easier before the patch, even with the nearly impossible jump. Using the technique above, the jump is a lot easier. It's okay though, once you encounter the goblins on Normal level 2 and get frustrated, I wrote a solution for that as well. :)
