This achievement is story-related and cannot be missed. However, to get there you need to progress fully through the old house to fight the real Marguerite in the greenhouse.

In order to be able to fight Marguerite, you need to find the spider-shaped tool for the plinth in the old house. That requires destroying the swarm nest that is placed over the fireplace in the room to the right of the entrance to the old house. You can do that with normal weapons, but it's slow and not recommended as it wastes precious ammunition. Instead, go through the house and onto the docks where the crank will be used later on to turn right and enter a small hut that has half of the burner that we should make. Go back through the house and head past the plinth onto the balcony to find the other half of the burner in the trash, then combine them into a flamethrower weapon. The weapon comes with 150 ammunitions, but there's plenty in the old house to find and/or create. Use the burner to take out the swarm nest over the fireplace and head down the stairs to find the spider-shaped tool. If you interact with Mia, there will be a short cutscene involving Lucas. You can also find an antique coin and a Mr. Everywhere statuette in this small area.

Head up the stairs and try to open the door on your right to be interrupted by Marguerite. She will cause spiders to appear all over the door, which you can pull out your knife and slash away until they die to earn the Slash Slash Slashity Slash achievement. Head through the house to come to a small hallway with a box on the left side where Marguerite will be pacing back and forth. Wait behind the box for her to enter the room on the right, then sneak out and close the door to lock her in. Run to the plinth and place the spider-shaped tool on it to open the wall where the painting is. Head through the wall and cross the new area to fall through a hatch in the floor that leads to a collectable crank. Climb back out of the hatch and use the crank on the mechanism ahead to pull up a board that crosses the small gap in the water. Run to the safe room past the picture puzzle and save the game just in case something wild happens.

Go back to the hall where we locked Marguerite in the room and open the door. She may come back out, but that's unlikely. You'll probably need to sprint past her to head out onto the docks, possibly needing to heal along the way. You can also earn an achievement here for causing Marguerite to flee by absolutely demolishing her with whatever you have in your inventory. If you do that, I'd suggest reloading your save and doing the rest without mutilating Marguerite. Use the crank on the mechanism here to bring up another bridge, then go into the small hut to find the Crow key sitting around to be gathered. Double back now to the area across the small bridge in the house to return to the crow door to be ambushed by Marguerite and thrown into a hole in the ground. Pull out your burner and roast Marguerite and her bugs until she falls in the hold, then climb out and open the crow door. Go up to the briefcase and interact with it to learn about the possible antidote to whatever is happening. The phone will ring, so pick it up to chat with Zoe. After the call, follow the hall around until you get to a locked door with a lantern mechanism next to it. Interact with it to find you need a lantern (surprise) then return to the giant hole in the ground to watch Marguerite pick up her lantern. Jump into the hole and follow her.

Climb up the ladder at the end of the path to come out to the greenhouse. Look to your left to find a gate that leads back to the yard, where you can save the game prior to the fight. Head into the greenhouse and prepare for a fight. There are a few useful items in the room before you jump down, so grab those. The fight won't start until you try climbing the stairs, where Marguerite will ambush you through the window and try to grab onto you. If she catches you, you'll need to shoot her to get her off of you. If you manage to avoid her, you can get in some valuable damage prior to the real fight. Climb the stairs and go down to the first floor to find a relatively open area that you can creep around to get a good angle on most of the area where you'll be fighting her. The area is littered with shotgun shells and burner ammo and stuff to make first aid meds. There are also a few cabinets with spiders on them that you can blast away to get a few more useful items. Now onto Marguerite.

She is weak to the burner, which makes sense as she is basically a bug herself now. She will crawl around the area, making her way to you in a few different ways. She will crawl along the walls and ceiling initially, jumping at you after she pauses and looks at you for a few seconds. If you manage to shoot her with the shotgun in midair, you'll earn the Fly Swatter achievement and a very valuable damage window where she flails on the ground for a significant time. Don't get too close to her as she can flail and hurt you, plus interrupt your stream of bullets and/or fire. She will do this three times throughout the fight, so try to make use of her pattern of idiocy. If you cannot see Marguerite, she is likely off somewhere laying a nest that will spawn the occasional large bug that circles around you and stings you after sitting for a second, so keep that in mind too. When she is finally down, she'll crystalize and turn to dust, leaving her lantern behind. Grab it and backtrack all the way to the lantern door and put it on the mechanism.

Head in and try to get a layout of the few very dark rooms leading to a hole in the wall you have to crouch into. You'll need to run back through these rooms while being accosted by molded enemies, so try your best to get a sense of the layout. Enter the small room to find a corpse with a label on her arm. Interact with it to pull the arm off and stash it in your inventory (very weird). Turn around to see some small legs run away, then crouch through door and start running out of the now molded filled rooms. You'll likely need ot blast the first molded out of the way, but the rest you can simply run past. The achievement should pop as you're escaping the molded, but I've heard people say it takes all the way until they return to the camper in the yard to get the achievement, so I'll lead you there.

Walk down the hallway to have the phone ring. Answer it and talk to Zoe, where she'll tell you to meet her in the camper. Head to the camper however you like to find Zoe is not there and the phone is ringing. You're officially done with the old house, so the achievement should be yours. Enjoy!
