    While the video guide solution is a wonderful tool, i'm assuming there may also be an audience out there that would rather speed run themselves without having to watch an additional 3 hours to see how to complete the game quickly.

    This guide isn't meant to be the best solution, it's just an alternative to those who just want to have fun and attempt a speed run for themselves without feeling the pressure of not knowing whether or not they are on track to complete it within 4 hours.

    TIME CHECK 1: MANUAL SAVE AFTER CHAINSAW JACK BOSS (I ran upstairs to save)
    My time - 53:00
    Max time allowed - 1:19:00

    TIME CHECK 2: MANUAL SAVE AFTER MARGUERITE BOSS (I ran to the yard trailer to save)
    My time - 1:26:00
    Max time allowed - 1:52:00

    TIME CHECK 3: FIRST MANUAL SAVE SPOT ABOARD THE SHIP (This is where 2 molded spiders are patrolling the halls, there is a room with a recorder in it)
    My time - 2:36:00
    Max time allowed - 2:52:00

    TIME CHECK 4: MANUAL SAVE AFTER ARRIVING AT SWAMP (In the shack)
    My time - 3:19:00
    Max time allowed - 3:46:00 **NOTE** IF YOU ARE ABOVE THIS TIME YOU NEED TO MOVE VERY FAST THROUGH THE MINES AND FINISH THE GAME. IT TOOK ME 14 MINUTES TO BOOK IT THROUGH THE MINES AND KILL THE FINAL BOSS

    I was able to finish the game by 3:33:45. I even went to look for ammo on occasion just for fun because I knew I still had time. If you are consistently under the "max time allowed" you should be just fine. I hope this will at least give you an idea on different spots in the game and what times you should be expecting.

    If you are worried, just make multiple saves as per my time checks just in case.

    Speed runs can actually be quite fun, so use this as a loose guide if watching a video isn't your thing.

    Darth LordiJust a heads up. If you are on the Xbox Series S|X and use quick resume the time keeps going if you go the dashboard and then quick resume the session. Always save and quit the game via the menu.

    Beating the game in less than 4 hours is not really hard. You have more than enough time to do that. The easy difficulty is the best option for this achievement.

    The key is to use the manual save as often as possible. In case something goes horrible wrong or you need too much time for a section you can reload your last save and try again. Otherwise with the same mechanic you can reduce your time extremly. Save your game, explore the next section, find your best way through, then reload your save and do it in less time. With this strategy the 4 hours shouldn't be a problem.

    Pausing the game will also stop the time counter so pausing the game is not an issue. But in case you die or use retry the timer will not be reset so only use manual loading of saved games. The reward for completing a 4 hour speedrun is a Circular Saw.

    For those who would like a complete guide for this and all other achievements in this game in 2 playthroughs, I have created a video walkthrough:

    This is a complete guide to getting all of the Achievements/Trophies in the base game of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. In the first playthrough, we will be doing a speed run (JUST GET ME OUTTA HERE Achievement/Trophy), completing the game without opening the Item Box more than 3 times (RESOURCE MANAGER Achievement/Trophy), completing the game using only 3 First Aid Meds or less (WALK IT OFF Achievement/Trophy), and getting all of the collectibles (MR. NOWHERE, BE KIND PLEASE REWIND, THE DEVIL IS IN THE DETAILS, and PELICANS IN YOUR POCKET Achievements/Trophies). I am also going to show you how to get ALL of the miscellaneous Achievements/Trophies during the first playthrough, including creating all of the items that contain Chem Fluid and Strong Chem Fluid (1ST PLACE AT THE SCIENCE FAIR) as we go. We will get Ending 2 (JUST A MEMORY NOW) during our first playthrough.

    The second playthrough (starts in Part 7 of this walkthrough) will be on Madhouse Difficulty and will show you how to play through on Madhouse Difficulty (WHO'S YOUR DADDY NOW? Achievement/Trophy), obtain all of the Antique Coins on Madhouse Difficulty (MAD PELICANS Achievement/Trophy), and get Ending 1 (END OF THE NIGHT Achievement/Trophy).
