There is an Elytra in the chest at X:53 Y:91 Z:-149 in the new tutorial world (TU 69, aquatic update). When you have them, you can dig a hole and build a tower made of dirt next to it. Make sure to fill in the edges of the hole after you have climbed up to truly make it 1x1, and dig it deep so that you end up completely below ground. Then gather up some dirt (i got 60 blocks) and build the tower on the square next to the hole, jumping upwards as you build below yourself.
Equip the Elytra from the inventory.
Save on top of the tower so you can reset if you mess it up.
Walk a tiny step out from the tower, and press A to activate the Elytra as close as you can to the hole.
