Map Room - 40G (Requires Title Update 48)

    Difficulty: Easy

    Estimated Period of Time: Long
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Boosting Method: If you have a friend or know anyone that already has a completed map, you can borrow it from them and place it in an item frame to get this instantly and without all the trekking hassle.

Solo Method: While playing the new Elytra Tutorial, you will find Item Frames all along the walls in the starting town ahead of you. Simply "mine" them to break the item out of them, and "mine" them again to collect them (You only need one).

The other item you'll need is a Map which you will always start with a blank one in your secondary inventory once you start the Tutorial. Before you start, make sure you equip the Elytra and have a Boat in your inventory. (The Elytra is VERY helpful for diving off cliffs and flying across canyons and ravines to quickly map large section is seconds.) While you walk around, you will notice your map fills up over a certain distance around you. Simply run around the world (or use a boat to get the edges and corners, boats can be found at the docks in the main tutorial village) to "uncover" all the areas on your map.

Once you've uncovered the entire map (or think you have as some spots are tan like uncovered locations) simply use the Item Frame on any wall and then use the Map on the Item Frame to get your Achievement assuming the map is 100%. If not "mine" them both back down and look more carefully at your map. (Keep an eye at the bottom edge as your main inventory slots like to block it from view)

IMPORTANT NOTE: Thanks to LordFightALot a solution has been found for anyone that was trapped with relocked Achievements on the day of Title Update 48's release! Do as follows and there is a 99% of it working!

"This is exactly what I did:
    1. Start up the Xbox (it auto signed in for me)
    2. Manually sign out of your profile on the Xbox dashboard.
    3. Launch Minecraft.
    4. Press Play Game
    5. A popup appears and asks you to sign in. Press Yes [I want to sign in].
    6. The achievements popped right away on the world selection screen."

If this worked for you, don't thank me, go thank LordFightALot!

Homunculus FuryA piece of leather and 8 sticks makes a item frame. Also in tut world any frame in the start work too. No reason to specify where to find a frame IMO

Krows GraveyardNo need to make one either when they're literally everywhere like ArkhmInmate0801 said.

BRANIAC1972A good tip for those who are currently playing, or who have played before, is to go into your own world and turn the game onto peaceful. You don't get attacked, and the only real issue is keeping an eye out for huge drops that may kill you, whilst you are concentrating on looking at the map.
In most cases I would guess that most people have a map in their game anyway, so you may have already done 90% of this. For me, I had a couple of areas to map and was done pretty quickly.
This is way more difficult on the Xbox one as you have to complete 9 maps in a grid of 3x3, that must overlap. That is a real pain. Good luck to those on the 360!

Frankies BackIs anyone having problems with there game freezing every time you put the map into the item frame. I have no idea how to fix this and cant get the achievement now.

Edit: I fixed it by signing in a second profile and placing his map in the item frame, then hit it out on my profile and placed it again and it unlocked.

KameraYeah I didn't read this carefully at first but it's 10x easier on the 360 than XB1. As mentioned two comments up and in your solution, it's only one fully completed map and not 3x3 like the XB1. Thanks for suggesting peaceful mode...only same way to do this achievement!

SiRFaPaLoT420Personally, I did it immediately after “Let it Go”. Once I hade the ice shoes, it took me so long to find deep water I had most of the map done.

I imagine it’s slower than a boat, but not as much a pain in the a$$

Octobot SuperAre you supposed to start with one or should I look in the tutorial village? I don't have one in my inventory. I'm not super familiar with many of the later title updates.

Krows GraveyardThis is a very outdated solution, and I haven't touched this game in a very long time. There is a strong possibility it's updated and this no longer works.
