How to unlock the Short-term commitment achievement

This achievement was initially unobtainable (as well as Long-term commitment), but it was fixed on March 27, 2017. I'll leave the initial solution I posted and the updates to it under "Spoiler" tags for anyone who might come back to get this later on.

Now it has been partially fixed, meaning that some people will unlock it just fine but it will still not unlock as it should for others. If you are in the second group, please comment your experience in the comments section so that we can identify the issue more accurately.

Update June 10, 2018: If you are still having trouble unlocking this (and long-term commitment), check OdinAsteroid's solution for a work-around. A friend of mine tested it for long-term commitment & it worked.

As for how to unlock it, the achievement itself is quite simple really:

When you load up the game, if you press Start cn_start a list of challenges will appear, the three on the top are daily challenges, the three on the bottom are weekly challenges. For this achievement, you have to complete one daily challenge every day for 7 days in a row. Daily challenges reset every day at 10pm EST (Eastern US) (thank you MathGuy42 for the info). Seven days in a row means at least one chalenge from 7 different sets of challenges in a row. The set of challenges has to reset for the streak to progress.

Daily challenges are usually fairly easy, requirements are along the lines of "Complete 3 blitz matches", "Perform 10 counters", "Play 2 matches with X leader", "Win one match", so you shouldn't have any issues completing at least one of the three challenges you get every day, and pretty quickly also.

Once you complete your seventh daily challenge in a row, the achievement will pop.

Read below if you need info about how the achievement used to be unobtainable:

SpicyAsteracWas still bugged for me 01/04/21 as at this point I was 9 days in, however after completing today’s daily the achievement popped for me not sure if it being a new month changed anything but glad I didn’t have to keep resetting my Xbox to get it

Tacticali did what the achievement said by completing one daily challenge each day every day for 7 days and the achievement hasn't unlocked, i did what it said, each day i logged in to do a daily challenge even tho the others didn't reset, so is that where i've gone wrong, do i need to wait for all three challanges to reset each day?

EarthboundXOn my 8th day and nothing. About day 4 or so the game deleted all my local saves(But kept all my campaign progress), and acted as if it was the first time I played it, so I'm sure that's why. Hopefully it'll pop in 4 or so more days then.

Edit: Oh nice it popped on day 9.

    UPDATE 04/10/2022
As Morpheus414 mentioned in his comment to my solution,
Halowaypoint does not track our Halo Wars 2 stats anymore.

The solution should still work, you just have to rely on your own memory or take notes when you started certain challenges, if you did your weeklys/dailys etc.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you're having trouble unlocking this achievement, try this:

WARNING: You'll need your Xbox One to be online and you'll need a working internet connection when restarting the game!

After completing one, two or all three challenges for the day, exit the game (press cn_guide, highlight Halo Wars 2, press cn_start, select Quit) and delete your save. To delete your save, highlight Halo Wars 2 and press the Menu button cn_start on your controller. Select Manage game and go to Saved data. Highlight your save, press cn_A and select Delte from console. Next time you launch the game, it will synchronize the local data with the data in the cloud and update correctly.

Do this on seven consecutive days and the achievement should pop.

    Further explanation:
I've had trouble unlocking this achievement because when launching the game, it would randomly not find my saved data. Skulls were locked, campain logs were marked as new/unread, the game asked me if I want to play the Blitz tutorial, my campain saves were gone etc... On Halowaypoint, the daily and weekly challenges would update correctly, so I realized that there must be an issue with the startup and initial loading of the gamedata.

Try it and tell me if it worked for you.

Morpheus414Just a heads-up—Halo Waypoint no longer tracks Halo Wars 2 stats. God knows why. So, it looks like this is going to boil down to essentially trusting your memory, and the system.

OdinAsteroidInteresting. Thank you for sharing that info! I'll edit my solution to have it right on top of the text.
