For this you need complete all of the requirements listed below during one single multiplayer match:

15 torpedo hits
100 AA hits
200 artillery hits
15 minutes controlling a submarine
20 minutes controlling an air unit
25 minutes controlling a ship
Sink 10 ships
Shoot down 50 aircraft

I'll guide you through all of the requirements in one single match which has to be boosted over Xbox Live with at least one other player.
Note: This will take around two hours in one sitting to complete, and again if you reciprocate for the other player.

Once you have your Japanese Xboxes or Xbox Ones and your Japanese copies of the game all set up you might need a bit of help with the Japanese menus.

I'll refer to the player going for the achievement as player one and the cannon fodder as player two. So player one should host the match- press Start then go to 'Xbox Live' then it's the second one down for 'Player match', then the third one down to 'Create host'. Now select cn_A to 'Create' as the settings are good.

Now you want the map called 'Islands of Solomon', press cn_up on the picture and find the map by counting the first picture (with the US B-17) as pic 1, scroll along to pic 5 then click on the top text option to select a player slot, choose slot 5 as the Japanese. Press cn_B and ready up by selecting the third option down.

Player two should press start, then Xbox Live, then the second one down, then the first one to find quick match. Select the only option then pick slot 1 as the Americans, then press cn_B and ready up with the third option down. Player one now presses the fourth option down to start the match.

Stage 1: Gain at least 15 torpedo hits and spend at least 15 minutes in a Submarine.

You have two shipyards- a northern and southern one very close to each other. Only the southern one can produce Submarines, select it (easiest way to control things if you don't know the controls is to open the map with cn_back use the cn_RS to move the reticle and select bases and units with cn_RSc) and press cn_RB to open the panel. The submarine is the third option along, the only one with five jap symbols. Launch a sub and send it to grid F5, make sure to take manual control of the sub and start timing your 15 minutes.

Meanwhile player two should start producing 'Fletcher' ships, these are in English so it's easy to tell them apart. As they are produced disable their fire and manoeuvres by pressing cn_X and cn_left then switching both options to 'off' and start sending them to grid F5 to be destroyed.

Player one will have 24 torpedoes; two torpedos will sink a Fletcher nicely, so just sink 8 Fletchers spending 16 torpedoes- make sure you have spent at least 15 minutes in the sub before moving to stage two.

Stage 2: Gain at least 200 artillery hits, sink at least 10 ships, and spend at least 25 minutes in a ship

The best ship for this is the BB - Kongo, it can only be produced by the northern shipyard, it's the third or last option in this shipyard (the first symbol kinda looks like a little house). Launch this ship and head for grid F5 again, take manual control and start timing.

Player two should start producing Fletchers or Renowns (Renowns are better to gain more hits for artillery). It's difficult to assess exactly what 200 artillery hits is, each barrage is 11 shots; 4 up and 7 down, the 7 down reload faster, so if you fire 11 then 7 again, that's 18 before the top reloads again. So you could count up 11 then 18 then 29 and keep repeating, as long as they hit you'll get a good idea of how many you have.

Once you feel you have around 260-270 hits you should be good to go, don't worry about the 25 minutes in the ship itself because we're continuing to use it for the next stage, so keep the timer running.

Stage 3: Destroy 50 aircraft and achieve at least 100 Anti-Aircraft hits.

This is perhaps the most difficult to assess; some have recommended the use of wildcat fighters to directly attack the battleship so they can be shot down while strafing. The problem I found with this is that an unknown amount of them will crash into the tower of the ship and it can't be guessed how many were killed properly. A surer way is to have player two produce 'Avenger' torpedo aircraft and instead of attacking player one's ship just send them to circle above it.

Move player one closer to the enemy aircraft carriers, they only have AA weapons but don't get too close or Avengers will actually attack them in defence of the carriers, somewhere around the north of D5 is good. Be sure to disable your weapons and manoeuvres on the battleship this is both to ensure you don't destroy the carriers but also the aircraft have to be shot down manually by you.

Have player two send groups of Avengers to circle above the battleship, do not select the ship itself or they will attack it, the arrow should be blue not red. Player one can start bringing these down quite easily as they are very weak and slow, just aim directly for them no need to lead the targets.

Player two can launch 80 Avengers max, there's a counter on the carriers themselves, so launch them all to be sure, this will certainly constitute over 100 AA hits so you're done there.

Stage 4: Spend 20 minutes in an aircraft.

The simplest one; just produce any wing of aircraft from a hangar in the northwest and take manual control (I recommend the Judy to make the last stage easier (it's the third option, the one with 500 at the bottom)). You can fly in long straight lines timing 20 minutes.

Stage 5: End the match

Now simply destroy player two's ships and bases with battleships and Judy's. The achievement will unlock after player one presses cn_A to finish the match.

Note: There are other achievements attached to this- most will unlock by default but the 'Air Unit, Sea Unit and Submarine service medals cannot be unlocked at once. These require that you spend the majority of your time in that particular type of unit- so you will unlock only one of these, most likely the sea unit one, so just load another match up and do the requirements for the ones you're missing.

Also note that player two will unlock the Purple Heart achievement for getting the worst kill/death ratio, if you're reciprocating you'll get it next otherwise load up another match and just lose some ships before losing the match.
