  This achievement coincides with the Melting Down and Infidel achievements as each Smelter Bot that you kill drops a Shining Coin. Collect all 5 of these and then head to the vending machine cult (see Infidel Achievement) and interact with the Iron Maus machine. The secret door should open, simply grab the armor and the achievement should pop.
  
  Beware, dying as a smelter bot dies can bug out and the shining coin will disappear too. This happened to me and I had to go to NG+ to finish it.

  I ended up picking up the armor about two minutes after my internet in my area went down. I didn't hear the ding pop after a few seconds and then noticed the internet was down. I was hoping it would unlock after my xbox got reconnected but no luck. I have to hope that picking it up in NG+ will unlock it with it my inventory already.

  For me, a shining coin was placed into my inventory automatically after taking down each smelter bot. I didn't have to pick up something.
  
  After redeeming them at the Iron Maus vending machine, they're still in the inventory.
