This achievement solution is for defeating the Sun (final boss), but I will include an overall boss fighting strategy that will generally work for all bosses.

GENERAL BOSS STRATEGY:
These tips will help with pretty much every boss/mid-boss.

1.)Avoid grinding level-ups during any given level.
- This may seem a little counter intuitive, as most video games reward gamers for leveling up. In this game, leveling up only helps in certain situations. Regular asteroids always level up at the same rate you do, so you will never really get ahead. Bosses will always appear two levels higher than you, so there is no need to be at a high level prior to boss fights.
-Also, leveling up increases Plutobi's mass. This actually makes some boss fights harder, as you will have trouble navigating around the level as you will be larger (i.e Avoiding walls and obstacles.)

2.) DO level up as soon as you enter a section with a boss fight.
-Not all boss fight sections require you to beat a boss. In fact, you may not even know at first there is even a boss on the screen (goal of the screen may be to survive or collect runes). When you enter a new section, there will be a boss name and health bar at the top of the screen if a boss resides in the section.
-As mentioned above, bosses will always be 2 levels higher than you. Immediately level up when you reach the section and then try to lower the boss 1 level by forcing it to fire asteroids or by crashing asteroids into it.
-Once you match or surpass the boss' LVL#, you can attack it by bumping into it (boss doesn't have to be glowing red for it to be vulnerable).

3.) Use power-ups strategically.
-The lightning bolt power-up and the one that changes all asteroids to your element are the best for boss fights. Once you have matched the LVL# and you are moving in for the attack, using one of these power-ups will allow you to safely approach and collide with the boss.
-Most boss stages have power-ups strategically placed around the section. Make a note of where they are and try not to pick them up if you already have two power-ups in your inventory (power-up will be lost).
-The health power-up is great for if you are running out of health, but you can strategically gain a level-up to replenish your HP instead. The ice power-up may make asteroids easier to dodge, but they will still deal damage if you don't adjust your element correctly.

4.) Determine the Boss movement
-Bosses will have 3 different movement patterns: They will remain stationary in a location, they will approach you and become stationary a certain distance from your position, or they will approach you until they collide with you. The 3rd pattern is the most dangerous, as bosses do tons of damage if they collide with you (granted they are at a higher LVL#)
-Any time the boss is stationary, you should be able to level up and/or attack it with asteroids to lower its level. You will need to be efficient at collecting mass (absorbing asteroids), but you should be able to stay alive during one of these patterns.
-All boss sections will have a generally circular level design that will allow you to move around the area to stay alive. Try to avoid getting stuck or cornered. This is the quickest way to get a game over.

5.)Use gemstones and Upgrade points as needed
-Upgrade points are awarded for defeating a boss. However, if you don't complete the stage you won't keep the points. Gemstones are also awarded following boss fights and will remain in your inventory regardless.
-I highly recommend upgrading: Indicator speed, Plutobi speed, plutobi acceleration and health.
-You will have to set up your points and gemstones prior to the level, so be sure to update after each level in which you earn new upgrades.

SUN SPECIFIC tips:

-The Sun stage gives you Mega Man style boss rush in which you will have to defeat 5 bosses prior to fighting the Sun (Bosses include the 8 planets, but will be inserted randomly). These boss fights will not provide you with any gemstones or upgrade points upon defeating.

-The Sun is not particularly harder than any other boss. Just be sure to level up strategically to keep your HP high. If you can, hold onto useful power-ups you gain during the previous boss fights.
