After playing through a couple levels, you should have a general idea on how the game works and how to avoid taking damage from asteroids. Essentially, you need to get familiar enough with the game and controls to the point where you can absorb asteroids without error, and be able to do so at with virtually no delay.

The game tutorial will tell you about picking elements equal to or higher than the element of the asteroid and so forth. For instance, If you see a fire asteroid you are supposed to choose 'water' which is the superior element; 'water' is depicted by the 'X' button, so you press X to change to water to defeat fire. My advice is to forget all that. Simply associate an asteroid's element to a button. When you see a fire asteroid, think 'X' button. When you see water asteroid, think 'A' button, etc.

Anyways, once you are confident with your ability to absorb asteroids, you can pretty much attempt this at any time. Obviously the first stage is the one you will want to play for your attempt. I would however wait until much later in the game when you have accumulated many gemstones and ability points so you can increase your speed and acceleration.

Here is my stage by stage strategy for level 1:
Stage 1: Level up 2 times
- from the start, move a little ways to the right until you see the first two portals. The upper one will only spawn fire and water, the bottom will spawn soil and metal(?). Stay in this area until you level up twice. If you have trouble on this section you are definitely not ready to tackle this achievement.

Stage 2: Level up 2 times
- This one is a little more complex. You will notice that asteroids will spawn randomly around the stage in addition to usual portal spawns. Move around carefully and focus on picking up the elements you need to level up (check your progress at the upper left of the screen). Be sure to go to the upper left of the stage and pick up the lightening powerup and then to the right (past the exit portal) to pick up a freeze powerup.

Stage 3: Collect runes
- You must travel around the level to collect all the runes. This stage will introduce the larger asteroids. These cannot be absorbed. I am not 100% sure if you hit one and 'resist' it, if it will void the achievement (they take away HP, but appear as a positive scoring in the menu). When you see the lightening powerup near the bottom left of the screen, use the freeze powerup (before touching the new powerup). This will allow you to have 2 of the lightening powerups at once, and slow down several asteroids that will spawn as you pass by.

Stage 4: Defeat the boss
- This is your first boss fight. Start the stage by hanging around and collecting asteroids until you level up. Now, head over to the right and press up against the block that will separate you from the boss. This will allow you to grab asteroids and throw them at the boss without running towards it. Keep hitting it with asteroids until it levels down. Now you can approach the boss for the kill (this boss takes one hit). As you approach, press LT or RT to use one of your powerups. This will prevent any spawned asteroids to hit you as you approach. Before you exit the stage, travel to the upper left of the screen to replenish your lightening powerup.

Stage 5: Survive
- The layout is straight forward, so just make your way towards the end of the area. You will take damage by passing through yellow fields, but it will not void the achievement (only damage from asteroids). I would avoid taking the last bottom path (one way). This is due to the fact that any asteroid that enters the tunnel will shoot to the left at very fast rate. Just hang out at the end until time runs out. General strategy of this game is to not level up if you can help it. Each level up makes your character larger, which will make it harder to dodge asteroids.

Stage 6: Defeat the Boss
- Again, level up as soon as you enter the stage and then move towards the boss and attack it with asteroids. There will be vertical pillar that you can press up against to safely attack the boss. This boss will require two collisions to defeat. Once you match it's LVL# the first time, slowly approach it and let it fire asteroids as you skirt around it. It will fire 5 asteroids and then pause. As soon as the 5th is shot off, collide with the boss. Retreat to the pillar, level up, and attack the boss some more. When you match it's LVL# the second time, approach for the collision once again. This time, use one of your powerups. Once the boss is defeated, you can replenish your lightening powerup by picking up one in the bottom right of the screen.

Stage 7: Defeat the Boss
- This is it. Level up as soon as you enter. Attack the boss with asteroids and collide when you match it's level. You will have to collide three times total. Since you only have 2 lightening powerups, you will have to decide when you want to use them. You may get lucky and find another one floating around, but there aren't any that will be initially located on the stage.
After the first collision the boss will begin to follow you. This particular boss will never approach you completely, stopping a little ways from you. You will want to move around in a circle though to avoid being overwhelmed. Since attacking him with asteroids is no longer practical, you can either keep leveling up yourself, or have him level down by firing a set number of asteroids at you. Keep this up for the last two collisions. Use your other powerup during one collision, and hope for the best during the other.
Once you beat the boss, collect the gemstone and BE CAREFUL! There are still asteroids on the screen. You don't actually have to collect the gemstone, but the stage will continue to run a little longer if it keeps floating on the screen.

Here is a DVR clip of the last 5 minutes of me getting the achievement (Mercury boss fight).

Hope this info helps, and good luck!
