Hello and welcome to PBreezey's guide for the Marvel Heroes Omega Achievement
Super Team!
Please note, two TrueAchievement users have reported this achievement being glitched for them. There is no additional information at this time, other than that they have more than the required 5 heroes and have not unlocked the achievement. In order to complete this Achievement you must get 5 Heroes to Level 60. Level 60 is the maximum level in the game. You earn experience and therefore levels by completing the main storyline, quests, patrols, or operations and by killing enemies.
There is no way to give a per se guide to leveling up; the amount of experience you gain is going to depend heavily on how you play the game. If you fight every enemy you find, go in every single treasure room and supervillain showdown multiple times, and don't just race through the story you are going to gain a lot more experience than someone who just does the story straight through. That being said, here are some tips and tricks that will help you get your first and your fifth Heroes up to Level 60.
1.
Owning 5 Heroes. So, one of the most obvious prerequisites to getting this achievement is that you must own 5 Heroes. All Heroes are free to play up until Level 10, but after that you must unlock them by spending either Eternity Splinters or Gs. Eternity Splinters are an in-game random drop from enemies that come very slowly; Gs are an in-game currency where you spend real $$$. So, if you are like me and are trying to treat this free-to-play as an actual free-to-play, your only option to unlock more Heroes is Eternity Splinters. AND since Eternity Splinters are rare, the BEST thing you can do to get this achievement is unlock heroes that cost the fewest Eternity Splinter. Right now there are three tiers of Heroes, and the cheapest tier is 200 Eternity Splinters; the Heroes costing 200 Eternity Splinters (as of the time of this writing) are: Angela, Black Widow, Captain Marvel, Hawkeye, Hulk, Kitty Pryde, Nova and Squirrel Girl. I would recommend starting with Hulk and Squirrel Girl as many players consider these two Heroes to be two of the strongest in the game - regardless of how much they cost to unlock. Obviously, if you want to spend money, more power to you - support the devs if you love this game, I am all about that - just trying to focus on F2P for this solution since many (most?) will want to play that way.
2.
It Gets Easier As You Go. Once you get your first Hero to Lvl 60, all your other Heroes receive an automatic 10% XP boost per Hero at lvl 60.
3.
VIP. If you don't mind spending money, buying anything from the store - either the in-game store or from the XBox store - will grant you VIP Account Status which gives a permanent 5% XP boost. VIP will also give you a free Hero - Nightcrawler - to assist you in having 5 Heroes to get to lvl 60.
3.
Story Mode Alone Won't Get You There. Unfortunately for many people, the story mode alone will not take you to Lvl 60. I play in a way focused on killing everyone and exploring everything, but from what I can find - only playing through the story is going to put you somewhere in the mid Lvl 40 range. So, you are going to have to do some patrols, operations, etc. to grind the rest of the way to 60. The best thing to do seems to be the Monday Midtown Madness Patrol for leveling, so carve out some time to play on Mondays!
4.
Change the Difficulty. You can change the difficulty of any area that you are about to waypoint to prior to going there. The higher the difficulty = the more experience you can get, as well as better gear. So, always try to go to each area (especially when grinding) at the highest difficulty level you can.
5.
Use Boosts. There are consumable experience boosts that you can get in the game. Try to wait until you have a number of them and use them all at once (I believe you can stack 5 at a time, so try to wait for a 5 stack before using one).
6.
Local Co-Op. This one is pretty low on my list of tips and tricks, because many of us do not have someone to do local co-op with; BUT, if you do, hook in that second controller, because any progress Player 2 makes on a Hero will count towards this achievement - the progress stays associated with your Xbox Live Account/Gamertag. So, if you have a kid or significant other or roommate who would want to help you here, take full advantage of that.
7.
Do Not Prestige! Update 5/11/2017 Prestiging does NOT affect this achievement - you are given credit for getting the Hero to Level 60 as soon as you get them there, so feel free to prestige away. Thanks to Wizzbang6 for this information. So, get your other achievements when you can!
If you have a problem with my solution, please comment and let me know your thoughts before downvoting.
Good luck and happy hunting!
