To unequip your weapons, head to the Mothership an swap all the weapons to Empty. This way you cannot shoot.

Now, you can't just idle away in the Mothership until your 10 minutes are up. This means actual flight time and avoiding a screen lock scenario where the enemies will do their best to kill you. So good luck.

Unequip weapons in the motherbase and then stay close to the base, wait for a time when only one enemy spawns and then just circle that enemy, dodge his bullets all while staying in the immediate area of the motherbase. If you get lucky no enemies will spawn, if more than one spawns just go back into the motherbase, wait a few seconds and then leave, the enemies are normally gone and you can wait for another spawn all while accumulating no weapon time.

I basically circled the motherbase and an enemy for 10 minutes until it popped. I did this in the first solar system. No other enemies spawned while I played with the 1 enemy that was spawned.

As mentioned in other guides, you need to have no weapons equipped for 10 minutes, and those 10 minutes must be spent in the 2D shooter portion of the game. Additionally, the following rules seem to be in place:
* You can check your current unarmed time in the Objectives pause menu option. Pacifist is #335. You may also need to switch away and back to the objective to have it update your current progress.
* Timer stops when you are in the pause menu, on a planet, on a station. Assumption is that a chat with a galaxy boss would also pause this timer
* If you land, then leave a planet or station, the timer resumes.
* If you accidentally change any of the weapon slots while docked at a station, your timer restarts at zero.
* If you accidentally change any weapons by using the D-Pad to quick-change, your timer restarts at zero.
* An assumption is that death would reset the timer. The escape pod has its own weapon, which probably would cause the reset.

To unequip your weapons, go to the space station then use cn_LB or cn_RB to switch to the Weapons tab. For each of the three slots, select the icon itself (not the upgrade) to switch between the four options: Bullet, Beam, Missile, and Nothing. Ensure Nothing is selected for all three slots, and you've ensured you have no weapons ready and can then start this achievement.

Now the actual part of waiting ten minutes for this achieve can be eased by staying near a planet. If an enemy pops up, particularly any of the 'WARNING' types that can lock your screen in a battle, you can dock on a planet then immediately leave. Any enemies nearby will disappear, particularly the Warning ones. This only sets you back a few seconds for landing and leaving. A planet is recommended over the Station, as there is a risk of changing your weapon by accident.

Another trick, one that may be the easiest way to earn this achievement, requires you to be in the Sol system. One of the enemy patterns that beam in are the round, stationary enemies. They shoot in an X pattern three times, then a + pattern three times. Two or three usually spawn together, and the next spawn doesn't appear until they are gone. Since they fire in a predictable *AND* unchangeable manner, you can park your ship in a place in between all the shots and just wait 10 minutes.
