    The crow did not appear the first time I was in the courtyard when I spread the bird seed (as the walkthrough says).

    After I went there the second time (after burning the vines with the makeshift flamethrower) it was right there on the edge of the bird feeder.

    I quickly switched to my candle and went right up to it and got the achievement.
