  If you don't have all of the chaos emeralds, this achievement unlocks after you defeat Dr. Robotnik in Titanic Monarch Zone Act 2.
  
  If the game is giving you a little trouble, you can grind lives in Press Garden Zone Act 1 as any character. I recommend getting yourself to 99 lives if you're at all unconfident in your abilities in this game.

  I just completed the whole game, even watched the entire credits until it brought me back to the main menu after Dr. Robotnik laughing at me. But I did not get the achievement. Please help.

  There are 2 possible final boss encounters in this game:
  
  Without 7 Chaos Emeralds:
  

  
  This will be a fight as Sonic against Dr Robotnik and 4 of the Hard Boiled Heavies. Only Robotnik needs to be defeated to win the fight and unlock the achievement.
  
  With All Chaos Emeralds:
  

  
  To access the Egg Reverie Zone you must first collect 7 Chaos Emeralds and defeat the boss of the Titanic Monarch Zone.
  
  This will be a fight as Super Sonic against Dr Robotnik and the Heavy King. Defeating both will grant you the achievement.
