    Quite an easy achievement, you will need at least a stone pickaxe to mine iron ore. Then you must find iron ore, which is very common in caves. Then you must use 8 cobblestone to craft a furnace, and some type of fuel, wood or coal, to smelt the iron. You'll get the achievement when you take the iron out of the furnace.

    GoatlipsIron ore is actually very rare. I had played for ages, using Minecraft to get 19 daily achis before I finally found some.
    NB: Creative mode blocks achis! You have to play Survival mode!

    You need:
      A piece of Raw Iron
        A Furnace
          Some kind of fuel (Wooden tools, sticks, ect.)
          Instructions:
          Place the Furnace.
          Put the Raw Iron and the fuel in the Furnace.
          Wait for the Raw Iron to smelt into an Iron Ingot.
          Take the Iron Ingot out of the Furnace.
