Once you finish a season, you will come to a Maintenance and Upgrades screen. You need to purchase all the items that are in the Upgrades box (do not do maintenance on your boat). The list of all upgrades are as follows:

Fuel Efficient Engine = 150k
1280 Hpw Engine = 300k
1800 Hpw Engine = 350K (unlocks after buying 1280 Engine)
Large Rudder = 150k
Heated Railings = 100k
Improved Hydraulics = 60k
Large Tank Pump = 15k
Scuba Gear = 20k
Life Raft = 25k
Survival Suits = 20k
Flares & Streamers = 10k
Fire Extinguisher = 10k
TV = 3k
Microwave = 4k (unlocks after buying TV)
Washer & Dryer = 6k (unlocks after buying microwave)

If my math is correct, that is a total cost of 1.223M to buy everything. The achievement should pop once you buy the last item and hit X to apply.

Here are some tips on the fastest way to make money:

- Skip the Opilio seasons, you make $4.60/lb for King crab vs only $1.50/lb for Opilio and you catch about the same weight for both. To skip season, just do fast time until season starts and then when you are in port, use LT to end season early.

- Each fisherman takes his share of the money at the end of the season, so if you want to pay less salaries, hire less fishermen. You need at least 3 to be able to fish, but the fewer you have, the slower some of the deck tasks become, so there is a trade off. I usually fished with 4 fishermen when just trying to make money. When you hire them, it will also show what percentage of the money they get for salary which usually ranges from 7-10%, so hire fishermen at the lower end of scale.

- Not sure all the factors that go into the dead crab loss, but seems if you keep them on your boat too long, it greatly increases. Therefore, I would go into a harbor and sell your crab a few times during the season to avoid too much dead loss.

- Soak pots at least 48 hours or more and make good use of the crab survey and weather on your map. I usually did fast time until the weather was clear above my pots, which makes fishing a heck of a lot easier (and less nauseating).
