This achievement is for getting the Chocobo License.

First be Level 20 (any job) and go to the Chocobo Stables in Upper Jeuno and speak to Brutus. You will get either a quest "Chocobo on the Loose!" or "Chocobo Wounds". From what I've read it's random.

If you get Chocobo on the Loose, it's fairly easy quest and you will need to do it before Chocobo Wounds will unlock.

Here is the wiki for the quest:
http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Chocobo_on_the_Loose!

After that quest is complete, speak to Brutus again and the Chocobo Wounds quest will unlock (you need this to be able to ride Chocobos).

You're going to need 4 Gausebit Grass which you can get from Crane Flies in Meriphataud Mountains. I went as a Level 25 WHM and around the outpost, they checked as Easy Prey / High Defense. I didn't have any issues. After you get all four, go back to the stables and give (trade) 1 Gausebit Grass an hour (real life - a game day) afterwards you gain the ability to ride Chocobos which is 150 to rent from Lower Jeuno.

More information is here:

Remember, you have to talk to a traveling NPC bard for the achievement to unlock:

Chocobo License Achievement - 5G

This achievement cannot be unlocked until your main job is level 20 or higher.

Once you are able to get to Jeuno, there is a Chocobo Stable in the upper portion of the town. You're going to want to speak to a person named Brutus. Brutus is the guy that will give you the quests for the area. There are two. The first quest is Chocobo on the Loose. Completion is not required to unlock the second quest, A Chocobo's Wounds.

Now there are two ways to complete the Chocobo's Wounds quest. 1) You can go hunting for Gausebit Grass and killing monsters until you get four of them. This is the long, hard(er) way. 2) You can go to the auction house and purchase them. It should be under the "Ammo" section of the auction house. Don't know why it's this way, but it is. They're fairly inexpensive, but exact prices differ based on the server.

To complete the quest you'll need to feed the four Grasses to the Chocobo at an interval of once each game day. The exact time for the feedings are irrelevant, you can feed the Chocobo at 11:57 pm, and then again at 12:03 am, and it will give you credit. But you can only feed it once per day. You don't have to feed it consecutively either. You can log off the game, come back in 3 days, feed it again, and it will continue right where you left off.

Now here's the tricky part: You'll actually have to try to feed the Chocobo SIX times. The first two times you try to feed it, the Chocobo will refuse your food because it doesn't trust you. Even though it didn't take the food, you'll still have to wait until the next game day to feed it again.

When you finish the quest, Brutus will talk to you about being excellent, and blah blah blah, then give you a Chocobo's License. The license allows you to ride Chocobo's at the stable and at the different crags.

In order to unlock the achievement you'll need to talk to one of the bards in your hometown. My character is from Windurst, and the bard that unlocks my achievements is a little TaruTaru named Soruta=-Baruta or something like that. He's located in Windurst Walls, just above the Auction House on the round piece of land between the great tree, the Mog House, and the Auction House.
