The Mile achievement in theHunter: Call of the Wild

The distance traveled on foot achievements seem to be a bit misleading as my achievement for traveling 100 miles on foot popped when I was on a 4-Wheeler.

Simply go to an outpost marked on your map, go to the locker which is located outdoors somewhere near the house and go down to where it says garage. The 4-Wheelers in here are free so feel free to get a new one whenever you stop back at an Outpost.

That's the fastest way to travel in the game, but if you want to kill the time a little you can do what I did and uncover all the Overwatch towers, Outposts and anything else marked with a question mark. You should hit 100 miles somewhere along the way as well as the achievement for traveling to every region if you uncover everything on both maps.

I’ve been playing this a couple of hours, and I certainly have walked more than 1 mile. ”Distance travelled” stat shows a weird value 24094.62, which isn’t meters (I certainly haven’t walked 24 kilometers yet, 2.4 could be more like, and that would also be more than 1 mile).

Is the achievement glitchy or am I missing something?

It must be some bug. Yesterday I won the trophy of the 100 miles, but the previous ones were not released !! How can this be?!?!?!?!?!? Did you win the 100 miles before you went 1 mile?!?!?!?! ??

I've been trying to get the achievement by walking. I can't, even though I walked non-stop for more than a mile. Thanks for telling me about the ATV. Maybe now I will get it.

I tried this one again, and it's still not working. Now I notice (as it was mentioned in some forum post) that barely anyone has gotten this achievement after last december. There are numerous recent winners on the 18th of Dec 2018, and after that, only 5 in total. One in december, two in january and another two in february. No winners this month despite this should be among the easiest achievements in this game.

Pretty sure it’s bugged, I set a waypoint 1.5 miles away a walked the entire way didn’t even run just walked and no achievement. One of my friends has The Ultramarathon achievement which is for 100 miles that he unlocked 6/2/2019 and none of the ones before it.

Looks like people have started to unlock this, numerous unlocks yesterday and two for today in my "Recent Winners" list. All I know is that taking a 1.6+ mile walk on an existing save file still doesn't make achievements go pop. On the other hand, I'm really tired of wiping out my savefile and starting fresh for this (and the couple of other traversal-related) achievement for a small chance of unlocking it.

@Rhhe82 same for me... i'm tired too. Maybe it's possible to start a new file offline to get the four km/miles achievements and delete the offline save after that. Goes online and have the old save... someone has experience with that?

Okay, just unlocked this and the scandinavian mile this morning - all I had to do was load up the game, entered a reserve and started walking. After 20 seconds or so, both of the long missing achievements unlocked. I'm guessing some recent patch has something to do with this.
