  You must complete and earn a gold medal on the the eight dojos listed below. You do not have to gold medal The Master's Dojo, the intro level against the chicken.
  
  This achievement is much easier after you have finished the story, which will unlock all the Ninjanuity Tokens. The skills granted by the tokens will make it easier to keep your hit combo high enough to meet the gold medal score.

  Popped early for me too even though I missed the gold medal. Oddly enough, I got the gold brick for it. Still had to go back for the character unlock though.

  Can confirm that this is unlockable without getting all gold, as I missed it on the factory.

  Unlocked for me even due to I had only silver on factory. Weird chievo, but it popped, also needed to turn back for Cryptor token

  Amount of Studs needed for a Gold Medal:
  The Collapsing Condo: 100,000 Studs
  The Slithering Catacomb: 170,000 Studs
  The Stormy Docks: 170,000 Studs
  The Secret Factory: 180,000 Studs
  The Deadly Arena: 220,000 Studs
  The Dark Swamp: 90,000 Studs
  The Scorched Tomb: 90,000 Studs
  The Savage Skyship: 80,000 Studs
  
  Before starting any Dojo complete 'Location 8 - Ninjago City North' to unlock the Master of Endurance Ancient Scroll (Invincibility). Replay the stage again in freeplay and collect the Master of Fortune Ancient Scroll (2x Stud Multiplier):

  The first guide is pretty spot on but I figured I'd type this up for anyone who had questions as they started the game like I did.
  
  The Wall of Ninjanuity holds all you need to get Gold with ease. You really shouldn't try the challenges until after, you're partially just wasting time if you attempt it before completing the story.
  
  The more detailed nugget of info here is: Focus on the entire right side first. The Art of the Thinking Elder. The second is an increase combo multiplier time meaning you can take a few seconds longer to get your next attack off. The third is x2 Studs but reads "Increases your stud multiplier by 2 each time you boost your combo total" which means the lowest your combo meters starts is as x4.
