Record score achievement in ACA NEOGEO METAL SLUG X

The achievement description doesn't describe which game mode this needs to be done. It is done on ORIGINAL MODE. This confused me why I didn't have this popped but it's because I never let the timer run on on the CONTINUE? screen as I just quit out of the mode.

After losing all of your lives, let the CONTINUE? timer time out and it will ask you if you want to post your score and hit A to confirm and it should pop a moment later.

You may have to actually beat your previous high score or beat the first mission. I could reinstall and test it to see the pop up again. I didn't know so much people were having trouble with it.

The achievement/requirement seems pretty buggy but it seems like the achievement guide over on TA seems pretty similar to what I have been saying

You may want to try and beat your own previous record but I wasn't able to even view my own because the leaderboards are so broken on it. I also attempted beating the first mission again as well as getting to the first spot in the in game leaderboard (around 15K) and both neither had the option to submit my score

Like others are saying, I set a high score, died, and didn't even get an option to post my score. Bummer.

Yeah this achievement is super weird, I submitted new achievement flags for this achievement since so many people have problems with it and there seems to be no clear solution to get it

I didnt receive it when I first played Japanese Original and then finished 10th in the (local) Leaderboard without finishing the first level. After using English Original and finishing the first level I got asked to publish my highscore online and received the Achievement. The question pops up shortly before the 3 letter name for the local highscore needs to be entered. My score was over 500000 points which gave me another achievement.

The achievement isnt bugged. The problem is that you have to get a certain score in order to be eligible to register in the online rankings. I think that as people register the more points you need to register.
I got mine when i started to grind for the 2 mil achievement, so if you are going for 100% you will get this eventually.
