How to unlock the Promise Keeper achievement

    As you progress through the game you will complete the Knife in the Dark story mission and unlock the Death Threat skill. Equip it and find a worm (marked by a green icon) and interrogate him to bring up the Nemesis System menu. Find an enemy and issue a Death Threat using Y. Issuing a death threat will cause the enemy to be a higher level but also drop higher level gear. After this, a new mission will show up on your map, and you'll need to complete it. The mission will be unique to the area and enemy. You'll need to follow the mission to lure the Nemesis out, and then take him down to earn the achievement and unlock gear.

    UnmatchedBraceI'm having the same problem. Death threat issued and honored, and no achievement popped - it doesn't say 100% or anything either.
    Does the target need to be a certain level? I'm level 13 and sent the death threat to a level 4 captain.

    DeathDealingCatSame as others have mentioned. Have successfully honored two separate death threats and no achievement. Must be buggy.

    About half way through act 1 you will get the Death Threat ability. You will have to posses a worm and then you will have the option to issue a death threat on a captain. Complete the new mission it has given you and by the end you will kill the captain and unlock your achievement.

    Promise Keeper Achievement/Trophy Guide

    During Act 1, you will make your way to a new area and the first main mission here will be called Knife in the Dark. You will want to complete this mission and then you will automatically unlock the ability Death Threat. Now that you have this ability you will want to find a Worm which one of the green marked enemies on the map which you can interrogate for more information on other captains. Once you select the interrogate option, you can use the Death Threat option by selecting cn_Y which will then allow you to select any captain you want to send it to.

    Once the Death Threat has been sent, an exclusive mission will show up for that specific boss. Be warned however, as once you send the threat the captain will become stronger but will also drop better loot once killed. Kill him, and the achievement/trophy is yours.
