Photo mode can be accessed at any point using cn_LSc and cn_RSc simultaneously.
Areas are towns, deserts or bodies of water that have a unique name. E.g. Alexandria, The Green Sea etc etc.
Take one photos in five different areas to unlock the achievement.

rhollidayJust want to add that if you can’t get photo mode to work it may be turned off. You can toggle it in Options -> Gameplay.

HyruleBalverine@Hero Of Courage, if I had to guess it would be that the Achievement description says "5 different territories" but the guide says "different areas" and describes areas as "towns, deserts or bodies of water". I expect that many people reading this guide take that to mean the smaller "towns" and not the large territory areas like Giza, Siwa, Imment Nome, etc. (Yes, he does say "Alexandria, The Green Sea", but I do expect that some people will still read the description to include smaller areas than the fogged up territories). Just my opinion.

The only way I learned how to use the camera was because of the loading screen hints. Press cn_LS & cn_RS simultaneously, then click away!

There are at least a dozen different regions in the game. If you zoom out as far as possible on the map you can see them all and their borders. You start in Siwa and will cross through at least another 2 before reaching Alexandria so there's 4 and I'm certain the story takes you almost immediately to the region to the right of Alexandria for 5.

Just open up the camera, take the quickest, rubbishiest photo you can and keep playing. After your fifth the achievement will pop.

    Let's keep on cheevin' together!

Clicking cn_LS and cn_RS together brings up the camera mode in Origins, at which point you can pan around, and press cn_A to take a photo.

The quickest way to get this without having unlocked multiple fast travel points is to take to the sky with Senu, the eagle.
Once you're in the air, click cn_LS and cn_RS and take a nice artistic photograph, then return to flying. Use the map to locate the nearest territory (Alexandra, Siwa, Black Desert, etc) and head over there, boosting with cn_RT for speed.
If you haven't already been there, you'll get a notification when you reach it and the area will become 'defogged', edging you just a little closer to

Click cn_LS and cn_RS again, take another photo and repeat until you have taken photos in five different territories. Shouldn't take too long, but every minute will help toward

so it's not a complete loss.

Others have suggested that Bayek has to be in the photo - I definitely did not find this, however I did take photos of Senu, so it may be worth ensuring she is in the frame, just in case.
