Hope you're saving your pennies, as this one is going to cost. Make sure you spend OVER 2,000,000 as the description states. You don't want to waste that money.

If you are willing to risk trying this in the Auction House it may count towards
Forza Horizon 3#Forzathon Motor MogulThe #Forzathon Motor Mogul challenge in Forza Horizon 3Buy or Sell 3 cars on the Auction House to earn the Ford F-150 Raptor HE and 55,000 XP

However, as MushaConvoy mentioned in the comments, if this is like
Forza Horizon 3High RollerThe High Roller achievement in Forza Horizon 3 worth 16 pointsSpend 1 million Credits on a car.

then the Auction House WON'T work.

If the Auction gets verified one way or the other I will update this solution.

Alf Ganikiller has verified that buying a car from the Auction House DOES NOT work. So much for hope.

As Spilner pointed out in the comments, if you don't currently own the Lamborghini Centenario you may want to grab one of them from the dealer for the next batch of challenges. Specifically:
Forza Horizon 3#Forzathon Once A CenturyThe #Forzathon Once A Century challenge in Forza Horizon 3Win a Championship the Lamborghini Centenario to win in the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento

The Centenario costs 2,300,000 at the dealer. And with the Festival boss discount it should still be over the requisite limit.
If you already own that you may want to follow DeaconFrost2k's advice and grab the Ford MKII GT40 for the upcoming challenge:
Forza Horizon 3#Forzathon Competitive LegacyThe #Forzathon Competitive Legacy challenge in Forza Horizon 3Win a Championship in the Ford MKII GT40 to receive the 2017 Ford GT HE

If you also own that, the Koenigsegg One:1 is a really good car. Otherwise just grab something that looks cool to you. Other than the Koenigsegg all of my favorite cars cost way less than 2m so it really comes down to personal preference.

MushaConvoyI have the Centenario, any other decent cars over the 2m mark worth buying?

AlehldeanThank you for the verification Alf. I've updated the solution with credit.

Musha, if you don't have it the Koenigsegg One:1 is pretty awesome. Other than that I can't think of any real good ones as most of the cars I use are way less than 2m. Sorry.

You will need the Ford GT40 MK II in two or three weeks for a challenge, if you doesn't own it allready - it costs 3.3mil

AlehldeanAs Deacon pointed out the MKII GT40 will be needed for a challenge in a few weeks in you don't already own it.

HolyHalfDeadAnyone buying a car over 2 mil should use the Made to Order skill (costs 10 points) as you get 5% off.

Last week I spent 8 mil on a Shelby Daytona. That will teach me for not checking the upcoming challenges! So not only was I broke, but I already own all cars that cost less than 10 mil. If you are also in that situation here's what I did: I put my Maserati Birdcage up for auction with a starting bid of 2 mil. I chose that car because there are very few up for auction. Once it sold I was able to buy another one for 2,280,000 with Made to Order. All this for just 3 wheel spins that got me 127,000 credits!
