To get this achievement you need to age up a sim.

This will happen automatically as you play through the game or can be done manually early close to the sim auto ageing up by baking a cake and adding candles and then blowing out the candles by the sim. You can check how long a sim has before they age up by checking the simology tab. (the picture of a head on the bottom right panel in game)

An issue i had with this is that my first age up was a baby ageing to a toddler, as this happened the achievement did not pop, but when i aged a young adult to an adult it popped, so i am not sure whether this was a glitch or ageing a baby to a toddler does not get the achievement, can somebody please confirm this so i can update the solution.

If you have any issues with this solution please comment before down voting and i will update the solution.

izret102This appears to only work by baking a cake.
I aged dozens of sims "naturally" no achievement. Baked a cake added candles blew them out. Achievement unlocked.

MrTuckrpantsI’ve aged up my sim several times with a cake and no achievement. I’ve even cleared my cache.

I did get the max/min weight cheevo so it’s not all of them, but this one is not working for me

tottroy05If anyone else is struggling to get this, I tried with 3 characters in total before the achievement popped. Following Kingillings advice helped me get this.

Not sure if this will help as I had issues with the cake aging process myself but this is how I finally got it:

I used the "Pregnant Triplets" family (refer to the walkthrough guide) and waited until after the triplets were born. I actually waited a bit after having the baby (and wound up losing two of the kids; not sure if important but thought I'd include). Afterwards, I baked a cake and, when placed on the table, I paused the speed. Added the birthday candles and set to normal speed. Paused after done and chose to blow out the candles at normal speed. Once the pop-up appeared for the age up, I waited about 30 seconds and clicked the prompt. Kept it at normal speed and it unlocked.

    Hope this helps!

There are two ways to get this achievement.

You can age up a sim naturally, while playing through the game. You can see how many days until your sim ages up in the simology tab.

You can also age up your sim automatically. Bake a cake and select the add birthday candles option after clicking on it. It will cost you 10 simoleons. Selecting the sim you want to age up, click on the cake and select a birthday-related action that is available (make a wish, blow out candles, etc.). This will automatically age up the sim and give you the achievement.

Aging up from a baby to a toddler will not get you the achievement.
