How to unlock the Online Veteran achievement

    *UPDATE OCTOBER 28TH 2018*
This is a comment by Shadow Tobuscus:
"I unlocked this by myself while hosting 10 quick mode games against bots in all 10 games, I didn't need a second person at all"

I haven't tried this myself, but if it works it could save people a lot of trouble. A few other people have confirmed that they've gotten this to work as well now, so I'm pretty sure it's valid. Not everyone, but a lot of people still seem to need to play more than 10 games though.

    *UPDATE:*
I've heard from quite a few people that it doesn't pop for them after the 10th round. Based on the information that I've heard, it seems to me that it may just be slightly glitched, or doesn't always track games played properly. It seems that everyone that I've heard from was still able to unlock the achievement with this method, but it may take longer than 10 rounds. I'm not sure why. It also seems like you don't have to be the host for this to work.
Thank you everyone who has commented with more info!
    Here's the original method posted:

I just got this online while playing with 2 bots after playing one game with someone who dropped out after one round. You do not have to win the rounds, just complete them.

Since the achievement tracker doesn't keep track, I can't confirm if you can get these under different requirements, but this is how it worked for me.

    1. Host the game. (I'm pretty sure you have to be the host.) Wait for at least one person to join, and then start the game. I got this only having ever played in quick match and choosing quick mode online, so if you want to get it over with faster, that's definitely the way to go.

    2. If the person drops out, after the round finishes, it will still ask you if you want to go back to the home screen, or if you want to keep playing. Just keep saying to keep playing, and it will put you in with 2 bots instead of actual players. You can keep doing this until you've finished 10 games.

The achievement will pop after the end of the 10th round.

TechnicallyCalmI did 11 matches and 2 wins. My 11 match was my 2nd win. I think I can definitely say that you just need to play 10 games with your final game being a win.

There are a few things about the description of this achievement that are misleading.

First, these games can be played against bots, they do not have to be against real people online. In order for the games to count, select "Online" on the main screen. Then select "Create Game". Keep the game private, but turn "Quick Game" on. I got this achievement only doing the quick games and it will take you about half the time. After you have done these things, select "Start Game". Once you do that, two A.I. opponents will be put into the match. These A.I. opponents are much easier than real online people as their reaction time to the buzzer is much slower.

The second misleading thing about this achievement is that you do not get it after just playing online matches. I only got this achievement after I WON ten online matches. Some people are reporting varying times that this unlocks. In order to track how many online games you have won, go to the home screen and select "Career". from that use the right bumper to select online, and then it will give you statistics on a lot of things, including the number of online games you have won and played.

Also, you need to finish the match in order for it to count. This means playing through both the normal and double Jeopardy rounds as well as the Final Jeopardy round. Make sure you are on the screen that allows you to play the next match before you quit out. The game needs to register that you have completed the match.

This one is relatively easy as you don't really need to do anything for it.

Go to Online mode, create a match of your own and turn on Quick Mode, and start a game against bots.

You don't even need to play the games. They can just be left on in the background while you do other things. Your controller can be turned off safely, as it keeps the games running anyways. You can also just do this when you go to sleep/work/any activity that takes a long time if you want, as the game never stops to ask if you're still playing, or kick you out.

The game automatically starts a match again, 60 seconds after it's over, so you don't even need to watch for a game ending.

The achievement should automatically pop after the tenth match, which can vary in length depending on your in-game level. If you're level 1, for example, the AI takes a long time to buzz in and usually gets the first (or even second) guess wrong, making it take longer. If you are at the maximum level (40), the AI never misses a question and will buzz in within two seconds. So depending on your level, it could take anywhere from a guesstimated 90 minutes to a few hours.

And on that topic, you can also use this method to (slowly) grind level-ups too, for the Jeopardy! Master achievement, while you're not actually playing. However, if you try this level-up method in offline mode, a game will not automatically start again without human input. So make absolutely sure it's an online game.
