Two out of Three achievement in The Walking Dead Collection

This achievement comes down to mere luck. You can get it in Wyatt's chapter in the 400 days chapter. If you fail to get it, rewind and try again. it is missable!

When you hit a guy/walker with the car, you will discuss whether or not to look for the guy. Choose we should check together and when your friend proposes to rock paper scissor it, say that that is fair. Other strategies state that Always giving paper works to win (you need to win 2 out of the possible 3 games). My own strategy involved starting with paper, then depending on what your opponent chooses make your next call. The other guy chose paper as well, so I assumed he'd choose scissors to beat my paper (if I were to choose that again), so I went for rock. Turned out that way. I assumed he'd choose paper afterwards to beat my rock (if I were to choose that again), so I chose scissors. Again, it is luck involved but this strategy worked for me.

I struggled with this for quite a while and restarted more than 15 times and gave up, then I came back to it. I tried this a few different ways. I think some of it may have to do with your dialogue choices. Always be consistent with dialogue.
Then, my results were the same - Paper / Rock worked on each second try after my first restarting of the episode.
IMy results have been consistent, as I just unlocked it on both X1 (Collection) and on PC (Season 1) right afterward. I came up with the results that your opponent will counter with whatever you just picked, so it's not entirely random. I think he always starts with Rock so you should naturally just pick Paper to start with, so that should give you a 1/3 to start.

This was my result :
If we tied with Rock, things start getting a little random since he says "you always pick rock" but naturally would want to pick Paper afterward
If we tied with Scissors, he would pick Rock next
If we tied with Paper, he would choose Scissors next

I hope this helps anyone else who is confused. Using this method I was effectively able to tie with him many times in a row until I tried changing it up.

He kept going scissors every time I used paper first, so I decided to go Rock all the way and it worked. We tied 2 or 3 times but in the end he finally went scissors again so I won.

1st turn i picked rock and he picked scissors
2nd turn we both picked paper
3rd turn i went paper again and he picked rock
