Just defeat 1000 of these across all characters. It's cumulative for you as a player.

Some tips:
* Use fierce attacks (pushing both thumbsticks in the same direction from a distance) to destroy polarity enemies from a distance.
* Roll backward before using a fierce attack if the enemies are getting a little close. This will help - though not completely avoid - doing a finisher instead of a fierce attack.
* Let polarity enemies get close to each other (often the spawn this way, so act quickly before they disperse) and use a fierce attack to take multiple enemies out at the same time.
