How to unlock the Hunters United Forever achievement

A faster way to get this is to join SOS flare sessions.

Special Arena missions are by far the fastest way (select 'optional' for these when you search) but they won't count towards the 50 arena quests... That's done in the Gathering Hub.

If you change your mission preference to 'optional' or 'investigation' then also manage to capture the monster...

You'll be working towards a few achievements like...

    Complete 100 quests via multiplayer.
Complete 50 optional OR investigation quests.
    Complete 10 SOS flares.
    Capture 50 monsters.
    Hunt 100/500 large monsters.

To capture you need to use a shock/pitfall trap when a monster is low on health and then do a couple of tranq bombs. You can craft more traps and tranq bombs mid game if you bring the required materials along.

Note* you will probably fail the mission a couple of times, kinda depends on the difficulty and the players hunter experience/skill. 3 faints and the whole team is out!

You will also likely join some sessions and your team will kill/capture a monster before you even get there...

    Happy hunting :)

E vee dubAlmost every time I start a quest I shoot an SOS flare and people usually join. I hope this counts every time. I'm surprised I haven't gotten it yet. Hopefully soon.

E vee dubOk. Good to know. I've put tons of hours into this game and it seems really slow for me.
I'll keep throwing up those SOS flares.

UPDATE: Finally got this. I'm over 150 hours playing. It seemed to take forever to get it, but it finally happened. Of course some of those hours we're pausing my game and walking away from my Xbox One X for a long time.

Mystical DragonI have no idea for sure but I think that it probably won't stack...

ScarletReptileIf you want to see how many SOS flare quests you finished you can check under the Stats for Monster Hunter World in the See all my achievements tab

JORAXThe SOS flare stat only increased when I joined, not when I sent my own flare. After 320+ large monsters (280+ hunts, a large percentage have been online mostly as a host) I'm beginning to think hosting in fact does not count for this...

cooper101183Do I need to join quests to get this or does sending flares and having people join me also count

Mystical DragonYou need to join an SOS dude

Mystical DragonMaybe you can party up with some people and do it like that too. I'm not 100% sure sorry. I just joined 100 SOS an that's the only way I know for sure...

JORAXAnnoying, and poorly written. The 10 SOS achievement is very clear. This one is much more vague, as I'd consider hosting or playing with my friends/guilds should count as "multiplayer" hunts.

Possibly worth updating the solution from "a faster way" to "a confirmed way"
