How to unlock the GWE: Pushing the Limits achievement

    The trick to this one is to choose a task that has 12 cars, not 20. 20 only allows you to get to around 72/73 mph.

    I selected >Services >Class 66 >Spring Clear >6V04

    Full throttle right from the beginning. Most of the first few miles is slightly uphill. Once it levels off and goes downhill, you'll reach 75 mph.

    *Be warned - shortly after you reach 75mph, there will be a red light (approximately 19 miles before you reach the destination. So if you want to successfully complete this service, I suggest saving part way through in case you have to reload.

    Boris l3Definitely the right service/timetable as Parsnipnose3000 (great gt too btw). Thanks for that very helpful guide. To unlock the achievement quicker I jumped out of the cab and uncoupled the trailing carriages to lighten the load. To get moving, release brake until the dial reaches 5, then apply it until it drops to 3. Put the reverser in forward and throttle up to the max. Achievement popped in a couple of mins.

    bemiosi can't seem to get over 25mph on this one, i uncoupled the carriages but its not going any quicker than 25mph?

    Once you’re moving look to the left and make sure both auto brake and direct brake are set to “Release”.

    You might have to hold LB for a while so the auto brake fully releases (on the white line above your speed the market can’t be on the left side of middle).

    What i did was at the start get out and uncouple the the cars, then go, i got it in 1-2 minutes.

    planchetflawGreat solution and idea. Got it within a minute or two (once I remembered how to get the brakes set so I could move).
