I did this on Quest 3, you can just load the chapter up.

EDIT: This achievement won't unlock until you complete the quest, thank you Killersquirelz.

Start up the quest and complete getting the secret message in your room, where a cutscene says dinner is ready. Instead of going downstairs, go counter-clockwise in the hall just outside your room until you get to Elizabeth Adams room. Your character will mention that fact out loud when you are at her door, it's in east hall.

Inside her room, there is a black dresser on the left wall, that has a container with Crystals in it. You have the option to eat one, do so and you receive an ailment that you can cure with a Golden Elixir. There is also a Royal Jelly next to it you can grab. There is also a Carmelite Water in her room. If you left them alone on Quest 2, there should be a Carmelite Water on the bookshelf in your room, and a Golden Elixir on a table in the North West staircase alcove.

If you need to use some Effort Points so that you can consume a Royal Jelly, OR you need any of the consumables because you are out of stock, go downstairs now. There will be a servant next to you after the staircase cutscene. Ask him if he can get some things for you. He has 1 of each consumable. Acquiring any of these have options that consume your Effort Points.

Special Note: For the purpose of this achievement only buy what consumables you have zero of. Be careful to not use Royal Jelly to get more Effort Points to buy all the consumables, as using more than one of each type (i.e. 2+ Royal Jelly) voids the achievement. It must be only one of each consumable used to unlock.

KillersquirelzThis is a solid strategy if you miss it with the walkthrough in Quest 2. There's also a Devil's Thorn on the furniture directly to the left of the black dresser in Elizabeth's Room. If you have subterfuge, you can also pick the two little chests in your room during the part where you're discovering the secret lemon code which will give you golden elixir and also expend some effort points.

KillersquirelzYou should add though, to complete the solution, that this is supposed to unlock after the end of the quest, not instantly, and you still have to go through the motions of completing the quest.

There are four types of consumables:

cn_up Carmelite Water - your next usage of skill is free
cn_left Golden Elixir - remove all negative status
cn_downRoyal Jelly - increases your effort point by 2
cn_right Devil's Thorn - reveal the vulnerability and immunity of the opponent

To use them, press the corresponding buttons above, and hold until the item is consumed.

This achievement requires you to use exactly one type of consumable each during a quest. I've replayed the quests a few times, and have so far found that only Quest 2 has alternate confrontations that give you a negative status. There may be others, but if you want this achievement quickly, you can do the following:

    *** Spoiler - click to reveal ***

    Alternatively:

    *** Spoiler - click to reveal ***

You've now used exactly one consumable of each type during this quest. The achievement will unlock during the quest summary page. The achievement unlocks only after a quest is completed.

PS: Golden Elixir can only be used when you've a negative status, unlike the other consumables.

x neotar xI followed the OP's 1st suggestion to the tee, and it didn't pop. The only thing I can think of is that it might be conflicted?/bugged by the 'Close Call" achievement, which I popped immediately after being successful at the confrontation. And it did not pop at the end of the quest either.

Doing his alternate version was successful, and also will get you 3 total achievements, this one 'Starter, Main Dish & Coffee', 'Eyes Don't Lie' and 'Seeker of Truth.' His alternate version also shows the sexy Emily in black lingerie, and is a great alternate to the story which I'd never come across on a couple of play-throughs.

A note about the commenter above he's right. Pay close attention to your effort points up to the last minute before the confrontation.. I had only one slot in effort points (you need two available), but bribing the guard at the last minute took 3 away (I was freaking out on a way to spend one effort point before continuing on, and was relieved to spend them so he'd go make the tea)!

QuickMythrilother solution saved me when I ended up not spending any points in quest 2 following the walkthrough here. just eat that magnesium rock and cure it with a golden elixir, and it didn't affect me following the walkthough either.

UberniXiI've tried this on both quest 2 and 3 and I cannot seem to get it to unlock. Am I doing something wrong?

I've used exactly one item. But does it matter if the item you use doesn't do anything? (Such as using a Golden Elixir when you've got 1 missing point but not two?) or not having the Devil's Thorn be useful in conversation before the timer runs out?
