Whenever you fight alongside one of your allies in battle, or talk to them in the daily life section, that person’s affinity bar will go up. Max out someone’s bar and they will gain a friendship level, giving you access to new abilities for use in the field.
As part of the tutorial, you are guranteed to level up your friendship with Thomas and Mina.
