Like some of the other Tennis games you can get on XBox, this achievement is leaderboard based and requires you to reach a certain rank in the game in order to unlock it. Whilst this achievement requires a fair amount of dummy accounts to get it to unlock, it doesn't require TrueSkill ranking, making these achievement slightly easier to obtain.
No one plays this game online anymore, so the only way you will be able to get the online achievements is to boost them.
For me when I did this achievement, I was the only one who wanted it, so I boosted it with a multiple amount of dummies. However if you are planning to do this game with a partner, you will likely need more dummy accounts so that the both of you can get the achievement. The reason is because once one of you gets this achievement, your partner cannot play against you for the same achievement as it will be voided. They would in the end have to find a dummy account that has reached the same ranking as themselves and win against that dummy for the achievement.
OK, so here is a Step-By-Step guide on how to get this achievement. Before we begin though, you need to make sure that you have the following requirements for a good chance in getting the achievement...
If You Are Doing This On Your Own...2x consoles With 2x Copies of the game - Make sure they are both the English Language Versions of the game. If you we're to own more than 2 consoles, it might make things easier with the dummy account switchover.
Your Main Account that wants the achievement and at least 3x XBox Live Accounts that are dummies that can access XBox Live Gold. If you don't have any Gold for these dummy accounts.
You must have your Main Account & 1 Dummy Account on the same console and the other 2 Dummy Accounts must be on the other XBox Console.
If You Are Doing This With A Partner1x console With 1 Copy of the game - Make sure they are both the English Language Versions of the game. If you we're to own more than 1 console, it might make things easier with the dummy account switchover.
Your Main Accounts that want the achievement and at least 3x XBox Live Accounts that are dummies that can access XBox Live Gold. If you don't have any Gold for these dummy accounts.
You both must have your Main Account & 1 Dummy Account on the same console. If one of you owns all the dummies and the other player is just bringing themselves only onto this game, your likely going to need at least 2x consoles with 1 - 2 Dummy Accounts on each of them. However it could be possible if the Main Account and the 3x Dummy Accounts we're on the same console.
Instructions1. From the Main Menu you need to choose "XBox Live" and then you will be presented with another menu. You and your partner/dummy account must win a Ranked Match in each of the Tennis Arena's first and they need to be in a strict order. These are listed as...
1. National Tennis Cup Tournament
2. Smash Pro GP Edmonton
3. Smash Pro GP Venice
4. Australia National Open
5. Lyon Tennis Tournoi
6. British Tennis Championships
7. USA National Open
8. Smashcourt World ChampionshipsThe recommendation is to have one of you win each of the arena first and then swap roles with your partner. Whoever is the host needs to click on "Ranked Match" and then choose the first arena. They then need to click "Quick Match" and they will host the lobby. The other player/dummy needs to choose "Quick Entry" in Ranked Match or choose the same arena and find their partner. Once you have both found each other, you will need to choose your character, clothing and Ready Up.
When the match has loaded both of you press the
button to get yourselves to the court straight away. Now whoever is the host is the one that's staying behind. The other player/dummy who has joined the match needs to press the
button and then
to quit the match. The lonesome player who is left behind will automatically get this achievement...
When you have returned to the Multiplayer Menu, press
to accept your rankings and let the game save. Now rinse and repeat all of the above and choose each arena and let that same person get a win. They will get these achievements...

Winning 5 Matches In A Row...
2. Once that player has won a match in each of the Tennis Arena's, you now need to swap roles and let the other player who has lost the matches to do the same. This time I suggest you get them to host the matches, so follow everything I've said in Step 1 and let them win a match in each of the Tennis Arena's. They too will get these achievements...
Note: If you are using a dummy account instead of an actual player. They too must also win a Ranked Match in each Tennis Arena as well.3. After you have done the winning for each person, you both need to search for another Ranked Match in the "Smashcourt World Championships". Now because both of you have won a Ranked Match in each of the locations, a message should appear for both of you in which there is an Online Award available in which the winning person will be promoted to an "Advanced Player". Now it's time to make decisions. Only one of you can get this for the time being. Whoever is going for it needs to stay in the match, whereas the loser needs to press
and then
to quit the match.
The winning player will then be awarded the "Advanced Player" Trophy. To double check if you have it, go into "XBox Live Stats" in the Multiplayer Menu and click on "Online Awards".
4. The main downside when going for this achievement is if someone gets a promotion, the other player cannot go for the same Award with that person. Therefore the person who lost the match will need to find someone else who can help them get a promotion towards the ranking of "Advanced Player". This is where your dummy accounts come in.
So now you need to choose someone's dummy account that's going to be the bait to help the lonesome player/dummy get their promotion. Once decided that account needs to be signed in and brought into the game.
You are going to have to perform all of the Step's we've mentioned beforehand, which means that you are going to have to get this fresh new dummy account to win a Ranked Match in all of the arenas. But luckily you can let it do the Hosting & Quitting Method. In addition whoever is helping this dummy account will likely get this achievement along the way...
5. After winning the Ranked Matches with this dummy, get them to pair up with the lonseome player/dummy at the "Smashcourt World Championships" and both of them should be given the option of going for the "Advanced Player" promotion. This is where the player/dummy gets their win and gets the promotion.
If you have done this correctly, both players/player & dummy will be promoted to Advanced Player Ranking.
6. With the new promotions, you can now search for each other in another Ranked "Smashcourt World Championships" Match. If done correctly because you both have the Award, a new Award should appear in which one of you can go for the rank of "Professional Player". Make the decision again and let the player who is going for it stay in the match and the other one to quit.
The player who gets this award will also get this achievement...
7. You now need a fresh new dummy account to help with the lonesome player/dummy to get their promotion to "Professional Player". There is however a downside.
First you need to rinse and repeat the above methods and get the fresh new dummy account to win the Ranked Matches in each of the Tennis Arenas. Now I think you know what I'm going to say.
When you have done the winning for the newest dummy, you then need to get the dummy you used earlier to meet up with this fresh new dummy in a Ranked Match in "Smashcourt World Championships". They will be offered a promotion to "Advanced Player". But... as you know, only one of them can get this promotion. Choose which one you want to win and let them stay, whilst the other one quits.
8. With this new dummies promotion of "Advanced Player", it can now meet-up with the other lonesome player/dummy that needs the promotion of "Professional Player". You know the drill. Choose the same arena as said above and let the lonesome player/dummy get their win with same methods applied, giving them this achievement...
9. Both the main players/dummies should now be a "Profressional Player", which means they can now be paired up together in another match for the final Online Award towards these rankings. Once you have paired up in a Ranked Match in the same arena, you will be presented an opportunity to get the "Legendary Player" promotion. Once again one of you needs to stay and one of you needs to quit. Whoever stays in the match will get this achievement...
With the fact that one of you will have this achievement unlocked which is what you we're originally going for, it means that player will be useless to the other lonesome player/dummy, so they can now be dropped from the game.
If you are boosting this with just yourself and dummy accounts, you have finished your work and you can move onto the next load of the achievements you need in the game.
10. If you are doing this game with a patner, you will now need one more fresh new dummy account to help the lonesome player get their final promotion towards "Legendary Player". In short summary, here's how it goes.
First you will need to get your fresh new dummy account to win a Ranked Match in each of the Tennis Arenas.
Have this fresh new dummy account meet up with the previous dummy account that did not
get the promotion to "Advanced Player" Ranking.
Choose one of the accounts to take the promotion and they will be promoted to "Advanced Player".
Next, have the two dummy accounts that are "Advanced Player" Ranking to meet up in another Ranked lobby and they will be offered a promotion to "Professional Player". Choose one of the dummies to take this promotion and then they will get this achievement at the same time...
Finally pair this dummy with the promotion and the recently unlocked achievement with the lonesome player that needs the achievement in a Ranked Match in the same arena. When the promotion appears, get the player to win the match and let the dummy account quit the match. Don't make the mistake of having the player quit this one, or you will need a fresh new dummy account to do the process all over again.
SummaryWhilst the process towards this achievement is a bit of a pain and requires a few amount of account and going back and forth, there is an advantage. Should you find anyone else that needs these achievements or a friend that needs it doing as well. With the fact that you've promoted a handful of dummies, you have formed a chain, allowing newcomers to gain an easy ranking promotion towards this achievement.
For instance all your friends would have to do is...
1. Win A Ranked Match in all the Tennis Arenas
2. Win against a dummy that's not promoted to reach Advanced Player Ranking
3. Win against a dummy account that has the Advanced Player Ranking to get promoted to Professional Player Ranking
4. Win against a dummy account that has the Professional Player Ranking to get promoted to Legendary Player Ranking
With this in mind, I kind of given out another suggestion in which should you not have enough dummy accounts or not enough consoles or friends to boost, then you can always try and search for someone on the site who has multiple accounts and see if you can obtain the wins and promotions through the dummies.
