This is still working on xbox series x finished it today, also i can confirm that you can do it in multiple sessions(i did it in 2 sessions).
also something i noticed that the moves count on the xbox states is not accurate, i am sure about that. maybe it counts the times you pause and unpause? the moves number will increase in the states but it will not count towards the 500 moves,

The info in this guide is invaluable. I combined this with the speed run achievement and definitely hit a few extra button presses due to nerves and not paying attention to the cursor icon and pressing buttons early while things were still loading. Following the maka video doesn't emphasise this as it's focused on the speed run. Still got it first try though, even with me screwing up the falling rock puzzle.

On XBox, I ran multiple playthroughs one right after the other and got “But Why…?” on my third. Just needed the momentum.

I had some trouble unlocking this. Was definitely under 500 several times but no achievement. Quitting to the Home Screen then quitting the game and restarting and it unlocked first time even with a few extra unnecessary moves.

Took me 5 attempts. first attempt got all achievement but this one, the last 4 attempts did every single playthrough the exact same only difference was I force quit the app and started fresh the attempt it finally unlocked. So if you're having the issue where it won't unlock make sure to restart the app upon each new attempt.

Following this guide (not mine), I got this in 416 moves. I misclicked around 10 times. Here's a rough guide to where I was at each step. (It'll make more sense once you've played through it once, which I strongly recommend to do first.)

Edit: the original video was taken down. Here's another. I haven't checked it, but I assume it'll give you the idea how to work through it. Again, there is some good room for error.

Sadly this is not a good video. I just wasted a couple of hours trying to follow your moves. There are to many mistakes in the video. Even then I tried to avoid your mistakes I didn't pop the ach.
