Studios Versus Challenge challenge in Gears of War 4

This challenge runs from June 11th to July 2nd at 10am PDT. It will expire after that time.

You will unlock the Studios Versus Challenge after finishing 20 Ranked Versus Matches. You will find the gametypes Execution and Escalation under the Competitive section in Versus. You can also find the gametypes Guardian, Team Deathmatch, King of the Hill, and Dodgeball under the Core Modes section in Versus. Any of these listed game modes will count for progress.

Thanks to TA users Ron Jeremy R6 and CookieofWisdom that Core Modes count towards the challenge as well.

You can track your current progress in the same spot as the achievements on the Xbox guide.

So just play through 20 matches of any of the listed modes above. Execution, Dodgeball, Guardian, and Team Deathmatch are the quicker gametypes. Winning or losing does not affect anything, just simply finish through to the end of each match.

If you are having troubles finding matches searching by yourself (due to locale), you may want to partner up with another gamer from North America to speed up the process. LFG (Looking for group) on Xbox is an alternative to finding like-minded players.

In addition to unlocking the challenge you will also be able to redeem some weapon skins (not tied to any achievements like the Flaming or Midnight Omen skins) for your efforts. After unlocking the challenge, visit the below link and login with your Xbox account that unlocked the challenge and click 'Claim Reward' under the appropriate spot.

Does anyone know if there's something wrong with the tracker? I've played 3 matches Core TDM and nothing happened. Besides that I'm having an incredibly hard time finding a match in the first place (in Europe).

Yeah they count, that's how I got it. I had one match not count though, I don't know if it was comp or core.

Before last night I hadn't played any. By the end of the evening I'd played 14. My tracker only says 25% and the rewards link says I've finished 8/20. Really disappointed they haven't tracked properly, finding and playing ranked matches can be a real pain

Only 3 of my 5 matches have counted (1 Core, 4 Comp overall) - I know there have been issues the last week but I'd figure they'd be somewhat resolved by now

EDIT: As soon as I type this ^, it resolves itself, except I'm still missing 5% :P

Does the 2v2 gnasher match count towards this as well?

^ Don't think so bud. Last I knew 2v2 Gnasher counts as social. But you could try a match and see if the tracker goes up. I finished this before 2v2 Gnasher was live.
