How to unlock the C1 | Cortex's Terrifying Trial achievement

To earn this achievement you must first collect all Dr. Cortex tokens in the level Jaws of Darkness. After collecting these, you can access the bonus level and after completing it, you will be rewarded with the key. Here is a guide on how to 100% the level by collecting all boxes, tokens, gems, and keys.

Helpful guide, but you should probably mention that you need the blue gem from Toxic Waste before you can access the platform at 1:31.

So we don't need to break every box to win this achievement, we only have to unlock and finish the Dr. Cortex bonus level? Is it possible even if we die?

I died a lot, missed a box, but still unlocked this achievement. So you "only" need to reach the Dr. Cortex zone, finish it and then finish the level.
