The Bunker achievement in Bomber Crew

The Final Mission was not too difficult in my experience, but I had a very specific operating procedure by the time I had reached this portion of the game.

My set up:
Early on I replayed various blue target missions to eliminate Enemy Aces and to take out extra targets towards my 200 needed, this allowed me to have winter gear for my entire flight crew, a highly upgraded bomber and to have almost the entire crew leveled up with extra skills and had multiple crewmembers able to perform the same task in case of an emergency.

That being said, I rose to high altitude, and with my navigator using the stars I flew the entire way there (and back) above the Nazi defenses and defenders. Once I had reached my destination while I passed over the target, I had my radar operator call in Spitfires, tagged all enemy fighter plans and once I had some distance from the target then turned and emergency dived to mid altitude. I had four fully leveled up gunners (including my bombardier) blazing away while I lined myself up, then quickly had my bombardier drop from his turret and release the bomb. Immediately, climbed for high altitude and cruised my way back over all the enemies and defenses that tried to catch me.

So, the winter gear was a must, high/full level crew made for an easy bombing run, and a strong, high capacity plane made this mission possible for me to blow up the bunker on my first try. Hope you have a similar experience and have had fun playing this great game.

If this one doesn’t unlock. Just try it again. I got it my second time. You don’t need to replay everything just wait until this mission becomes available again.

It unlocked for me the second time I completed the last level "Operation Nemesis." For some reason it didn't show up every time I back out to main menu, so I played "Operation Zeus" and then it became available. No need to start a new game, just replay level and it will show. Unlocks when credits play

Sort of confused how you dropped altitude to drop the bomb you must be at high altitude to release. That is actually impossible. I actually made it there pretty easily, but once I blew up the bunker, I was beyond swarmed with fighters and jets. Even with spotting them all manually, and calling in spots with my radio operator, it seemed to keep resetting on me. I was being shot by unmarked enemies even though I spotted everything before it came in. I don't mind hard missions, but hate impossible bs. Looks like this one is more luck based that anything else, oh well. Will retry tomorrow, but you definitely did not drop altitude like your solution says or it wouldn't let you drop bomb to complete mission.

Hello. I flew at max altitude all the way there, then did an emergency dive to reach mid altitude. There was a ton of clouds obscuring the bunker, but managed to drop using both vision and my map. I did get a lucky drop, but I did my best to reduce my risks. Everyone was a high level gunner, so improved accuracy and my plane was fully upgraded. I did use the spitfires for cover as described. It is a long mission and by the time I was above the bunker there was many enemy planes waiting for me. I did take a good amount of damage, but no one died and I got home with ease. Hope you have better luck next time.

Switching to all Thermal is a must for this mission. I flew north to Denmark then booked it right to the target, didn't run into any planes until right after the bomb dropped. I Then went SouthWest, avoided alot of the enemy planes, but the fact they spawn 9 jets within a second of you approaching is unfair. I lost a wheel, but my pilot was able to land with only one getting wounded.
