The first Arena appears with more conversation text to go through with

You'll finally be given the task:
"You must defeat the sentries! Use 
to find them." Press
to continue.
Use
to scan the grid up and to the right to find your targets.
"Oh no - there are two of them!" Press
to continue.
Use
to move the yellow grid cursor to the grid spot pointed by the white arrow and press
. Then press
to complete your turn.
The enemies will take their turns.
Move to the indicated grid spot to approach the nearest sentry. The highlights the sentry to allow an attack by pressing
.
The battle screen loads. Just follow the instructions and you'll get your first achievement
for your attack. After defeating the sentry, the arena grid appears again. Press
to end your turn.
Advance toward the 2nd sentry and it will move away from you one space. Advance right next to it to begin the next attack.
This battle teaches Defence. Fill your defence slots with full tokens and the sentry's attack will fail. Then fill your attack slots with red attack tokens so you can retaliate.
