Instead of going through the hassle and get the 8 top tier ranks during the stage, you will be able to fight Cutman at the end of Optic Sunflowers stage.

An alternative way, is by entering the following codes at the main menu where it says to press cn_start.

    cn_left, cn_B, cn_up, cn_Y, cn_down, cn_A, cn_right, cn_X, cn_LB, cn_RB, cn_LT, cn_RT

HolyThugRabbitThanks for the code!smile Was looking for it earlier today. But could only find the code for all the other systems.

    TG Airborne 88You're welcome :-)
Another thing I had stored when I was playing this game on the pc 10 years ago or so.
There's also apparently a glitch for getting pretty much an infinite no of metals. Might come in handy for the other achievements that can be accessed quick through those codes (otherwise multiple playthroughs required and insane grinds).

HGonzDo you enter that code in the main menu like you do to unlock black zero? When you enter the code is there like a confirmation that it worked like a sound or something?

TG Airborne 88Sorry, forgot to add it on this one. It's now edited where to enter and yes, you will hear a sound (Mega Man X8 will be said if entered correctly)

HolyThugRabbitIf you where talking about the glitch where you fill up the sub tank with less than 50 metals and head into a stage and kill one enemy for max metal. Then that have been patched. Fastes way now seem to be to kep shooting the big robot in the back with Axels ray gun in Metal Valley. He drops 50 metal chuncks a lot. You get several thousand each time. Just die when he reach the end. You will respawn back where you start to chase him.

New ParalyzerI was wondering how they inteded for you to unlock this as without the code the original way was to have a command mission save lol

RazmoudahUmmmmm..........really guys? I distinctly remembered actually doing this fight on a clean save (no cheat codes used) way back on the PS2. I recently got the Switch version (sorry, but I'm not a fan of Microsoft or the Xbox series of consoles), and when looking for some assistance on getting the more challenging Hunter Medals Google found me this site. I literally just did the Cut Man fight on my Switch, and I didn't need to use the code. All you have to do is pull an S-Rank completion for all of the training areas, you know, just like you do to get the Rare Metal to unlock the Metal Generator. You just keep going to the boss antechamber and there's the portal for the Cut Man fight.

Now, for the sake of you who don't know what is required I'll list the list of requirements I got off of a FAQ/Walkthrough for you.

Scenario 1: Destroy as many Bulbrites as you can (Destroy 90+ to S-Rank)
Scenario 2: Destroy the falling Bulbrite (8 seconds to S-Rank)
Scenario 3: Destroy the floating Bulbrite (5 seconds to S-Rank)
Scenario 4: Destroy the two jumping Bulbrites (10 seconds to S-Rank)
Scenario 5: Destroy the gigantic Bulbrite (8 seconds to S-Rank)
Scenario 6: Destroy the flying Mechaniloid (10 seconds to S-Rank)
Scenario 7: Destroy the two sentinels (10 seconds to S-Rank)*
Scenario 8: Destroy the giant mechaniloid (40 seconds to S-Rank)
    * If you've defeated two or seven Mavericks, Vile may appear during this part
instead of the two sentinels. Time taken to defeat him won't count against
you, and gives you an automatic S-Rank.

The guides authors are Tim, Jaxel, and Alpha Axl, and contact info I have for them is tb0882@gmail.com if you want to ask them about it.

To help you some more I'll even give you a small guide to easily getting the S-Rank for each Scenario.

My recommended team is Zero and Axl. Furthermore you need to have defeated Optic Sunflower, Dark Mantis, and Earthrock Trilobyte. You also need to have collected and developed Zero's D Glaive weapon (that's why you need to have defeated Earthrock Trilobyte, you have to use a charged Crystal Wall at a certain spot in Primrose to get the Rare Metal needed to develop it). Now for the mini-guide.

Scenario 1: Use Axl with the Ray Gun. It might be possible with just the Axl Bullets, but I have an easier time getting past 90 kills with the Ray Gun.
Scenario 2: Zero, wielding the D Glaive. If you position yourself correctly you'll kill it before it leaves the screen the second time (occasionally I manage to get it on the first pass).
Scenario 3: Zero, wielding the D Glaive. Just jump up and use the Rasetsusen (the spinning aerial attack). You'll kill it in under a second.
Scenario 4: Zero, wielding the D Glaive. Just jump up and use the Rasetsusen. They'll both be jumping right through the blade of the D Glaive, and typically if they stop to attack they stop right in its path. Might take two and a half seconds depending on how long until they attack.
Scenario 5: Axl using his Ray Gun again, or the Axl Bullets. Really, any of his weapons that has a high rate of fire works, so the Ice Gattling works, and the Flame Burner and Bound Blaster might as well, I've never tested those two.
Scenario 6: Zero, wielding the D Glaive. Just jump up and use the Rasetsusen. It might take a whole second to kill it.
Scenario 7: Zero, wielding the D Glaive. Walk forward as the first Sentinel jumps, then jump up and us the Rasetsusen. It takes about two and a half seconds, and nearly half of that time is positioning.
Scenario 8: Zero, wielding the D Glaive. You'll have to move around a lot to keep it in position, but once again the Rasetsusen is your best friend.

I literally just used that exact strategy to get the all S-Rank clears so that I could get the Rare Metal for the Metal Generator, and since it can boost your rank if your performance is good enough went on to the boss chamber even though I'd already defeated Optic Sunflower. I found the Cut Man portal right there, just like I'd thought I'd seen a few years ago when I'd done that clean save on my PS2.

I do hope this helps those people who want to do a clean save, instead of relying on a cheat to unlock something that the normal method is needed to earn another item as well.

Oh, I should also point out, I never played Mega Man X: Command Mission on the PS2. I specifically got the Gamecube version because of the two extra sets of in-game figurines (most of which give you the best versions of those figurines in my opinion). It wasn't any hardship as I already had a Gameboy Advance SP and a GameLink Cable. In fact, I still have all of that, for when nostalgia kicks in and I want to play it again. I do think that Capcom should've included it in the Legacy Collection though, as it explains the origins of the Metals and why they can boost Reploid abilities. Yes, gameplay wise it is nothing like everything else Mega Man X, or even most other things Mega Man in general for that matter, but it is quite definitely the middle segment to the story arc trilogy that includes X7 and X8 (if you look at the story closely you'll notice the first six games actually split into two distinct story arc trilogies). Not to mention why Axl is different enough from the mass-produced New Generation Reploids to be safe from going Maverick like they have. Yes, that gets hinted at in MMX: CM as well, though not clearly stated.

P00R GRENDELEnter the code and what? I entered the code and heard the "Mega Man X8" but nothing else happened.

P00R GRENDELNever mind. Figured it out. Might want to include that you need your own save past the prologue, the code bit and then the stage name and that the code makes the outcome automatic.
