This is an early milestone in the "Space Exploration" statistic and is obtained once you have warped to a new star system 5 times. You can check your progress by pressing cn_start and looking at the Milestones screen. It is near the bottom in the "Journey Milestones" section.

Before you can warp anywhere you're going to need a hyperdrive which is crafted from 125 refined copper and 5 microprocessors. The games storyline explains all this while you're in you starting solar system after you leave the base building tutorial planet.

To warp to a new system you need Warp Cells which are made from Antimatter (refined copper & condensed carbon) & Antimatter housing (Oxygen & Ferrite dust). This is all described through the storyline of the game once you have the hyperdrive. The storyline will also give you some extra warp cells to speed you on your journey. As soon as you've completed your 5th warp this should unlock. Warping should only be used for going to new star systems that you've not visited before. If you want to go back to a previous star system save your warp cells and use the teleporter found in all space stations.

Note. The achievement tracker (percentage complete on the Xbox) does not work for any of these achievements. The achievement is for reaching the target milestone and being awarded the title.
