  Just do a Smash Attack ("Down+Attack Button") on any spikes on ground.

  Down+jump button, not attack button. Also this works on wall spikes.

  is this games Jump button
  Holding , or Down on the D pad, plus pressing while in midair causes you to do a ground slam.
  
  Do this over a set of spikes and you'll pop the cheevo. Unlike the elevator related suicide achievement you do NOT need to die for this to work.
