This is harder than it sounds. Salvaged parts are the currency used to buy things in shops. They appear when you destroy a crate or enemy. Since you can rob shops, you don't need to pick up salvaged parts anyways, but you would be amazed at how easy it is to pick these up by accident.

The general strategy is to avoid destroying anything. Even by hacking a robot and it getting destroyed can cause you to inevitably pick up salvaged parts. They are also kind of hard to see too.

My strategy was to:
-Avoid confrontation best you can.
-If you find a shop, look for EMPs, bombs, bomb paste, Invisibility item (looks like an eyeball), Health Extension, or Energy Extension. If you see any of these, hack the shopkeeper and steal them.
-Safely drop the shopkeeper by ejecting next to an exit portal and activate an EMP. This will stun the shopkeeper while instantly opening the exit portal. Or, you can just use the EMP without ejecting and selling it off for HP after you exit the level if you have received damage.
-If you see salvage parts in your path, you can destroy them will bullets or bombs. Also, you can bomb a wall and hope the salvaged parts get sucked into space.
-Use bombs (preferably with bomb paste) to open up the skull doors instead of trying to find the key. Use Invisibility to avoid enemies and the EMPs to activate the exit portals.

Anyways, it will require some patience (and a bit luck finding good shop inventories) but I managed this on my 2nd dedicated try.
